If you are on PC, take a look in the 'CookedPC' folder. Do a little search for Liara's name.....
If this doesn't involve taking down the Shadow Broker together, I'll be very disappointed. And I don't see how the relationship doesn't come up if you continue working with her.....

Yeah I've seen the DLC lead in, I hope it amounts to more than a BDtS sized LDC though, I'm thinking more a full xpac to make up for all the bad things they have done with Liara. :D

Well, yeah, gotta add my support, since its the primary decider in whether or not I actually buy the game.

I see no reason to purchase it if its not. My main ME2 playthrough was missing something with the character relegated to a piddling side role. Another like that in ME3 just means the game doesnt interest me in the slightest.

No squadmate, no buy.

I agree with you Dink.  If Liara gets another crap role, I'm done with ME.  There are other gaming companies I can give my money to.

At the least, I would hope the DLC would involve you helping Liara find Feron (dead or alive).  I don't expect it to go as far as taking down the Shadow Broker.   That's if we even get any Liara DLC.

Agreed. I gave Bioware a chance on ME2 as it wasn't the final installment but if they keep her out during ME3, I won't buy it.

Read my signature... Honestly if you did, I'd probably start buying your games out of principle whether I wanted them or not.

LIARA MUST BE A SQUADMATE IN MEIII!!

I actually almost didn't buy Mass Effect II because I heard she and the others wern't going to be in it. Those ****s Miranda and Jack need to die. (Tali is innocent >.>)

I have an honest hunch. BioWare has special DLC just for us Liara fans. Why would I be so optimistic you ask???

Well with how much of a cliffhanger they left us with, the only logical explanation is that they want to give us more in the form of DLC. I'd bet we get the Liara DLC complete with a love scene. If not, some Edmonton offices will be surrounded by Liara fans with pitchforks (I stole this idea from a groupmate) :D j/k

Agreed I gave BW the benefit of the doubt in ME2 because, well its BW.  I will be more judicious in my estimation of their future titles.

Exactly the same here. I eventually decided to preorder but avoided the CE in reparation for the loss of Liara. No, actually I'll buy ME3, but it will be a used copy so EA doesn't get any of my money if Liara isn't included.

I don't even need her in my squad. I just want her to be in my ship's crew so I can come talk to her after every single mission.

That folder just houses a bunch of files used in the ME2 game (audio files being one example).  There's a file with the words 'Liara', "dlc', and 'lead in' in it's name.

It looks like they may have planned to have Liara related DLC, but it remains to be seen if they actually will have it.

Honestly, they have basically confirmed the ME1 love interest characters will have big roles to play in ME3. They said the main reason they aren't members in ME2 is so they survive. Why have them survive unless they are going to join up with you to finally stop the Reapers in ME3?

Now, I'll agree that the in-game justification for Ashley and Kaidan not joining up with you is terrible. "Oh I'm mad at you. Nevermind that our race is on the verge of being made extinct or anything." Liara's is a little more logical - but that whole scene needed to be done better, as has been covered.

I can't see them NOT including the 3 in the final part. Also I would think the Shadow Broker is prime DLC material. If ME3 is going to focus on the Reapers' final assault (which is VERY heavily implied by the ending) I don't think the Shadow Broker is going to be #1 on Shepard's priority list. However, if Shepard has some downtime after blowing up the Collectors he/she would probably _want_ to help his/her blue asari love/friend.

Did you watch this video?

She's just very soft-spoken. Ali Hillis' accent also interferes a bit.

If she's a squadmate and romance option, I'll preorder the best edition regardless of the cost :D

After I got over the fact that she wasn't in it, I then became mad because there was no reference to the relationship in two... and that I am still butthurt about.... But I was thinking though when I got used to the idea pre-release of II I was speculating that Liara would be playable in III if Sheperd died. Only a woman can deliver true revenge. :D Hell hath no fury...

There are moments were Liara sounds more like her 'old self'.

First, when the Normandy is being destroyed and Liara talks to Shepard.

Second, when Liara first meets Shepard again on Illium she screams: 'Shepard!' before running over to give the Shepster a hug and kiss.

Third, in the video linked above.

At other times, her voice sounds hoarser. When she's explaining her hacking missions to Shepard, when she's treatening that random hologram dude at the beginning.

So, Hillis hasn't completely changed how she voices Liara. The old sound is still there at key moments. It all has to do with Liara's character.

I'd be happy to see Liara in ME3 as a squaddie. But... I prefer my geeky archaeologist Liara instead of badarse, bloodthirsty, and deathdealer Liara.

She is still geeky... she just isn't as innocent. She has/had gone through alot. And she cant afford to appear weak in her new line of business.
