I agree, the most important thing would've been at least one small single comment from Shepard about his feelings, whatever the player decides they are now. If that at least were there, I'd be able to overlook the bad presentation and lack of explanation for her obscure changes.
I wish we had the option for Shepard to express some feelings toward Liara but I content myself with a nice little backstory in my mind of the two of them secretly keeping in contact.

It's just not organic if it doesn't allow that - it doesn't fit. It seems like they must have some further content planned, since the rest of the game is so consistent and thought-out.

The first DLC for ME1 wasn't bad. It felt like Die Hard to some degree which makes up for the whole stapled on feel. I personally never played the second DLC because it looked incredibly stupid and a waste of money.bjdbwea wrote...
I fear that a possible DLC will again be but another round of combat scenarios and make no mention of the relationship. I think after the disappointment with ME 2, no one should order that DLC (if and when it may be available) until we KNOW what's inside and what's not. Refuse to buy if it doesn't deliver. I know I will act as such.
Back on topic, I think Liara's character development just suffered due to the fact she never left her office the entire game. All the other ME1 characters were either cameos, joined your squad, or didn't show up (dead or otherwise). You kept getting reminded that Liara game wise is one step above refund guy because you get credits for running errands for her. I guess they were trying for the realism bit there...zing.

However, out of all the LI's from ME, I think Liara got the best appearance in ME2. At least she still shows interest in Shepard, and doesn't cast him out of her life immediately.

And I have heard that if you remain loyal to your love interest you'll reap a reward in ME3 just as you'll reap the whirlwind if your not loyal, and I for one don't want to get flayed alive by the power of her mind. So I am keeping it in my pants at least for one play through.

don't hate, appreciate!
Just because your LI can bite the bullet and kick the bucket doesn't mean you should hate on Liara.
I laugh at you, Hahahahahah your LI can bite the dust HEHEHEHE!

She was my first romance in ME1... hell, my ONLY one (I'm thinking about doing an Ash playthrough, but am unmotivated at the moment). I like her and her shy, awkward manner and dialogue, and I will definitely be staying true to her when I import to ME3.
As much as I like Liara, though, I wish sometimes that her lines came with a little more emotion. I think they're maybe trying too hard to make her sound like a scientist all the time. Her manner of speaking is proper and precise (she never seems to use contractions

Personally, by biggest hope is that Liara DLC will add a love scene before the end game. It'd be nice to see SOME tenderness with your LIs from ME1. I'll be happy just to see Liara more, though.
I got a feeling she will have a love scene in the DLC.

That would be awesome as long as they get Ali Hillis to voice it and not make it a quick little scene. I want some freaking dialog!

Liara compared to Samara or even Miranda is no competition. Idk if it was the new technology but Samara and Miranda blow her out of the water. She looked a little washed up on Illium. If ME2 LI's getting sidelined Bioware might have pulled off the biggest upset of the year when ME3 is released.
New technology? Personally, Miranda has a bit of a face lighting issue and Samara's jawline is ridiculous.

Whatever they do it better be epic. Not some little 20 minute side mission like BDtS.

I'd have to disagree with you on that one. Liara is the reason I got hooked on ME. None of the other LI's can compare to that for me.

BDtS was like, an hour. I enjoyed it. Sadly, and as much as I like and trust Bioware, they have a tendancy for hour long DLCs. Return to Ostagar, Warden's Keep, Shale, Bring Down the Sky, Pinnacle Station, all an hour or so.
Sad, but true. Still, some good, fun content there.

Liara DLC?? Is this confirmed or just the fans getting their hopes up?
