Samara is awesome. You don't have to knock her in this thread (which was in fact started by a Samara fan).

Personally, by biggest hope is that Liara DLC will add a love scene before the end game. It'd be nice to see SOME tenderness with your LIs from ME1. I'll be happy just to see Liara more, though.

I got a feeling she will have a love scene in the DLC.

That would be awesome as long as they get Ali Hillis to voice it and not make it a quick little scene. I want some freaking dialog!

Liara DLC?? Is this confirmed or just the fans getting their hopes up?

There is a file in the CookedPC (in your Mass Effect 2 folder) which has a file named "Liara dlc lead in " something like that. That is why our hopes are pretty high for her =D

I kinda hope that the DON'T do a love scene in the DLC, because what will we be left with in ME3?

As awesome as a Liara DLC would be, I'm a little skeptical. I don't want to get my hopes up only for them to be crushed. Believe it when I see it I suppose. Or until Bioware starts talking again.

Where are those guys anyway? I miss the developer-fan communication we all had back on the old forums.

Yeah it is rather quiet dev-wise on these boards...

Probably working hard to bring us Mass Effect 3, so that we wouldn't
have to wait too long, like the wait we had between ME1 and ME2. The graphics are fine, which can be time consuming when developing. I bet they will reuse the engine used in ME2 into ME3, they can easily focus now on the stories (such as the conclusion and I hope a rather satisfying conclusion of all ME1 and ME2 LI's), characters, the big battle scenes etc. Plus it's only been a week since ME2 was released.

Or maybe they're secretly reading over all the multiple threads and relaying it to the dev's. Just guessing only here.

The file in question is named: 'twrhub_liara_dlc_lead_in_d_S_INT'

Make of it what you will.

honestly i dont think a DLC would be a good idea for this. Liara is such a deep character, but if they dont take the time to really make her part of the story its going to feel like the just tacked her on at the end to make a few extra bucks. If they do make a liara DLC, they need to take the time to pull her into the story as much as can be done, it needs to be seamless. on the otherhand a DLC were she does not become part of the squad and is infact realted more to a side quest would be interesting and work well, but they would need to have a good reason to have the main PC go on the side quest. ("sorry i cant save humanity and all the aliens (any word that includes all of this?) i need to go help my girlfriend with some sort of interesting but by comparison trival task."). Could they make it so doing the extra mission with liara unlocks a new weapon, tool, ME 3 advantage/ Disadvantage, or difrent method to compleat the suicide mission ( no more vents and distract teams as the only option let player pick what route through the collector base they take?) tell me what you thhink. (sorry for bad spelling im tired)

They could make it so you can't begin Liara's DLC mission until after coming back from the Omega 4 Relay.

Ah....another love scene?  You can never have too many love scenes

I'm hoping the ME1 characters will be integral to the story of ME3, and not relegated to another set of cameos. I'll very sad if there isn't some epic conclusion to the Liara romance. My shepard will be staying loyal until then.....

I would definitely perfer some meaningful dialogue to a love scene by far. I have ME1 for the love scene, now give me some semi-romantic dialogue.

I do agree.  I would totally give up a love scene to have more meaningful romantic dialog (or just dialog in general).  I heard the ME2 loves scenes sucked anyways.  It's probably better if they don't have one with Liara.

A Liara DLC was mentioned since they revealed Redemption, so it's coming.

In ME1 I was indifferent to Liara on M Shep and she was F Sheps romance. The problem I now face is that my Shepard's character trusts and loves his crew equally as family, he is just as likely to sacrifice his life for his love, Tali, as he is for Grunt, Kelly, Joker, or Kenneth Donnelly. Both Ashley and Liara betrayed his trust and soiled his opinion of them. In fact those two cameos as a whole were very poorly executed and more like Bioware saying we've decided to scrape the less popular characters and see if anyone cares.

Agreed. I am a Samara fan... and a Liara fan.... and a Shiala fan... I think there's a pattern here... oh, wait, Tali is adorable... and I wish EDI had an Avatar... hell, I just love women, and am proud of it.

Although, Miranda, whilst having a hot body, and the face of Yvonne S. (not even going to attempt spelling it) there is just something 'off' about her forehead for me... stupid, I know, but it's like a flower missing a petal, it's not quite right. That's my own opinion, and I know there are legions of Miranda fans, and they are all right as well.

Eh, ME2 love scenes don't suck per se, they just don't have the same dialogue that ME1 scenes did. Although I've heard Jack's is pretty good in terms of dialogue but there's no way I would ever romance her.

Just my opinion, but I would imagine it would be something that only becomes available after the suicide mission.

Sorry dood. Tali is dead. No amount of QQ can bring the quarian fetish object back. The same goes for Miranda and Jack, who actually would be worth having back.

And if we are talking about "equal treatment", then Garrus and Tali need to sit ME3 out, writing emails to Shep, while the Virmire survivor, Liara, and Wrex join the squad.

Wasn't aware you were deciding what's canon and what isn't for Mass Effect.

I too would much rather have meaningful dialogue with Liara than a love scene. I was rather dissappointed that my Shep couldn't tell Liara how she feels about her.

I see no reason not to have both.
