If Liara's a squad mate, will she get a cool outfit like the ME2 squad mates? I'm guessing 'yes' since I doubt BW will re-implement the ME1 squad mate armor system for ME3.

Anyways, what should it look like? I wouldn't mind Liara wearing something similar to the armor she wears in the Redemption comic.

I love the comic outfit, it's perfect!

Oh god, you really want to know what I want to see Liara in?

Urgh... I for one hope they do bring back squaddie armor. It's lack is one of the bigger wallbangers in ME2. It's supposed to be scifi, not superhero comic book... I actually have small hope this will be rectified, at least visually. It's one of the more criticised features of ME2, both by people who like the game and people who were disappointed.

Just... whatever you do, Bioware, no high heels for Liara please!

In combat situations, that is.  Image IPB

I actually liked the format.  They just didn't have enough options.  All the characters needed a third "hazardous enviro" outfit, and a few more random ones.  Shep also needs more casual and armor outifts, but this is getting off topic. :)

I too like Liara's comic outfit, though I wouldn't mind something more akin to Miranda's black outift, just taliored for Liara.

Ya, I don't want them to give her an outfit like Samara or something. It would be out of character. I do want them to update it though. I bet they come up with something pretty good!

I agree with the no high heels! I laugh whenever I see that. As a girl I'm just thinking, "ya right, those shoes would kill me before the collectors". I know its just a game, but a little realism never hurt :)

I just started my second playthrough with liara as LI from me1. I really messed up by picking the wrong savegame on my first import but well, here I am on the second run and I just completed liara's tasks on ilium and man - my heart was tearing apart when she said, that she couldn't let me go and that's why she wanted to bring me back with the help of cerberus. Now I'm sitting here and writing this because I really need to calm down, that scene went straight to my bones.
So, liara did something that important, bioware MUST bring her back in a huge way in me3. And btw. MOAR romance with her in the third game, seriously, everyone who stayed faithful with her is missing her.

And about the outfit - has already been said but again: pls no higheels, doesn't match to a sweetheart like her.

I feel that Asari culture is one with "openness", ie, slightly revealing. I think Liara should not be like Samara or the strippers, but more akin to Miranda. Show a bit. Not trying to perverted, I just view the Asari as more open than that. No high heels or anything are needed though, at least for combat situations.

I always thought she looked out of place in the ME1 armors.

I meant in combat...I'm sure what you really want to see her in wouldn't be suitable for combat.  Image IPB

Edit:  after thinking about what some of the ME2 squad mates wore in combat (see Jack),  what you probably want to see Liara in might actually be suitable for combat.

Do people prefer the original, sweet and innocent flavor of Liara, or are you interested in the sequel’s, dark and edgier flavor of Liara?

Liara was my favourite character in the first game. The change in ME2 was far too extreme for my liking, there was almost nothing of the original left. The one cross among hundreds of ticks for the writers in this game.

And the guy/gal who was the catalyst for that whole thing elicits no more than a "go do some hacking for me, dear" reaction when they meet? Would the tongue tied "I always say something embarassing around other people" Liara really disappear so easily?

In those two years she met a soul mate and saved the galaxy from annihilation;  And, such experiences have been known to change a person.  Furthermore, she reveals she is hunting the Shadow Broker because he betrayed YOU.  Given the hacking in question it was most likely more than a trivial request for her.

The nipple strap is too grunge for Liara, I was thinking something more frilly and lacey. :o

I'd like to see Liara back in her scientist get up from ME1. I thought she looked adorable in it and it would show that's back to the Liara we all know and love. I'm not against them updating it a bit to maybe be a bit more unique for Liara though.

Yeah, that's another possibility.  Mordin rocked the 'scientist garb'....so could Liara.   I agree they could spice it up a little.

Though technically she's not a scientist anymore.

I was thinking something along those lines as well.  Hopefully ME3 will have more than 1 outfit with 2 color choices.

I know! You'd think we would have at least the same color spectrum they gave to Shepard. I was disappointed :(

I was expecting at least a handful of choices to be unlocked for each character.  I was really disappointed.

I agree.  I would happily purchase a DLC pack with just new, different costumes... HINT HINT, Bioware!  I'd like to see a costume based off of some of jack's concept art, honestly.

Liara wearing revealing clothes would be so out of character for her in public places, but oh boy once the door closes, all of that shyness should go right out the window as it relates to clothing.

Yes, I too hope we'll see more costume and costume color options in the form of DLC and definitely ME3.

i know the hammerhead DLC is supposed to be soon, but part of me hopes that the DLC announced in a couple of weeks is actually the Liara DLC.

Yeah, wishful thinking, but it could actually be tied together, both Liara and the Hammerhead are all in one. But again, wishful thinking.

I didn't exactly mean it for a public display. This isn't Miranda were are talking about here. ^_^
