This is the Liara thread. No need to worry about offending other LI fans. This isn't the "like everyone" thread in any case.
Tali and Garrus fans in particular have been spoiled rotten by Bioware compared to everyone else. They've already had their favorites in two games, while everyone else has only one game. Their cries to make the Garrus and Tali LIs was heard. Both were even given love scenes, no matter how implausible the attraction between human and turian might be. Hell, Garrus was suddenly turned into a chick magnet, with both Kelly and Dr. Michel finding him interesting (I'm supposing with the doctor, but the mail is kinda telling). Even more fanservice for the Garrus fans. Bioware really went out of their way.
It's a relief I can kill both in ME2 and remove them from the story should Bioware decide to once again decide to cater to these two fangroups in favor of everyone else for ME3.
What did the ones who were satisfied and pleased with the options Bioware gave in ME1 given? The middle finger and few misleading generalities and vague assurances about the future. I have a hard time believing the "We are saving them from being killable and for ME3" assurance that we started getting toward the end. Ash and Kaidan at least survived the game without damage to their integrity as characters, but poor Liara was warped because someone in the writing team decided she needed to be more "edgy".
