For the comic it makes sense to keep Shepard gender neutral, and romance neutral. I just hope they don't take that as a big open door to do whatever they think is "amped up" and "edgy" with her.

I really missed my nerdy blue hottie in ME2.  If Liara doesn't come back for ME3 I'll be seriously pissed.

It would be nice to see Liara come back, or at least continue assisting her on her goal of taking down the Shadow Broker.

From the angle of my save, (femshep who romanced Liara in ME1) seeing her with such a hard edge was interesting. I genuinely enjoyed the new facet to my blue snuggle bunny.

Do people prefer the original, sweet and innocent flavor of Liara, or are you interested in the sequel’s, dark and edgier flavor of Liara?

I'm actually hoping for a mellowed out Liara if she appears in ME 3. Revenge fulfilled, got Shepard back. etc etc etc. Being my LI I hope it'll go back to some sort of relationship instead of "I'll talk to you later, Liara". No more awkward Liara, but also not likely to hit me with biotics if I ****** her off. :o

Eh, from what they did in ME2, looks like that's the way they've planned things with her. Perhaps they listened to merely what the people who didn't like Liara had to say, and were catering to them? Not understanding, that this would butcher the character in the eyes of those who did like her, if not done with extreme care and attention to characterization. From looking at the result, I'd say they failed miserably, if the intent was to make her palatable to the haters. They mostly didn't care, the noobs ignored her, and the people who liked her in ME1 were mostly left puzzled or angry.

Now that the damage has been done, they need to either stay the course, or attempth to veer her back to what she was. In both options, good writing is a must. She's currently a confusing and unbelievable character, unsatisfying to her fans and uninteresting to the rest.

Of the returning cast, her personality had undergone the largest change, except perhaps for Tali, who had no personality in ME1 and now gained some. Garrus was becoming more of a Renegade loose cannon, but as always working to protect the weak from the predatory. Ash and Kaidan behaved mostly as one could expect from ME1, with Kaidan perhaps a little more prone to flying off the handle. Wrex was Wrex. Liara... Just damn.

Consider how people would have reacted if Ashley had suddenly started spouting off like Kelly about wanting hug Garrus and finding Thane sexy, and become a "why can't we all just get along" hippie type, and having given up on poetry and her previous faith to become an avowed atheist. For the sake of some "friend" we have never even met. I bet even the people who deludedly called her a racist and a religious fanatic wouldn't have been pleased with that.

Tell you what, I'm playing through ME2 now and it really doesn't feel right without Liara with me. She was at my side in ME all the time, and I always went to rescue her ASAP.

After we do her quests we don't even get a chance to ask or say anything unique or interesting to her. Disappointed in the lack of romantic dialogue.

DLC needs to rectify this. NAO!

I hope Liara will be a team-mate in ME3 too. In ME1 she was always with me !

Question : I read in the mass wikia we can have romance with her in ME2. Has someone ever do that ? I'm at Virmire in ME1, then I'll import my ME1 Liara's game (:P) in ME2, but I'd rather like someone tell me if it's possible :)

Uh, that's exactly what we're talking about all the time? You can continue the romance from ME 1. Sort of. <_<

You can, though you have to look pretty hard for evidence that the romance is still "on". It's certainly less obvious than what those whose LI was Kaidan or Ashley get.

Thanks guys ! So I'll have to often come back to Illium ? Liara can not be in the squadteam, so I do not really understand how the romance can exist ?

No need to go back. You can see the whole of what little there is in one visit.

And the romance could easily exist with a non-squaddie, if the writers chose to make it so. In this case, we got the middle finger.

I'm new here. Liara T'Soni fans, add me.

I was super pissed about Liara being an "information broker" on Illium in Mass 2. After all we shared!

I'm not so sure, about the showing part, BioWare has made it quite clear that for marketing purposes a male Shepard is it. That's why we don't see any trailers, wallpaper, whatever with a female Shepard. If someone has found an offical femShepard from BioWare please correct me.

No, we have to wait till ME3 to continue the romance.  There is no (Liara) romance in ME2.

yeah, yet another great squad member from ME1.... they definitely do need to bring her back and going up against the shadow broker would be a fun quest... whether a person or a network, or even some crazy twist on the story... .regardless no match for Shepard as proven in ME1 and ME2 by the much tougher enemies he/she takes out but it would be really fun regardless, especially with the plot-twist that would most likely be tied into it in some way, shape, or form

That's such a wonderful moment. We gotta get her back, people!

Awhile back, a friend tried to convince me that Bioware devs used alternate IDs to post as "regular folks" on the forum.  If there ever was a time when I wanted to believe that was true, it's right now.
:innocent:

Hmm...I just noticed there's a little point on the left cheek.   I'm going to need to smooth it out a bit.  Dang graphics.

LOL, now that is attention to detail. repost when done :D

Is this smoother?

I could imagine there actually being Liara DLC.
Since taking down the SB would not be like taking down your average gang member, it would probably take a long time.
I don't know if BioWare is planning on making ME3 a 100 hour game but if not, they are going to have continue the story in ME2 through DLC to make everything ready for ME3.
Continuation of Liara romance in DLC through ME3 are my hope!

They could lay the foundation for taking out the SB via DLC, then have it happen during an in-game ME3 quest.  There can be some other stuff that happens in between that we simply don't see.  It can be stuff Liara does on her own, minus Shepard.
