You know, considering the lengths Liara goes to save Shepard regardless of whether or not s/he romanced her, I kind of hope that it's possible for Shepard to romance her in ME3 regardless of whether s/he did in ME1.

In other words, it'd be cool if there were two Liara romances in ME3. A "continued from ME1" romance and a "new to ME3" romance.

I want to be able to do that. I'd have all my Shepard's choose Liara over anyone they had romanced before. If I was the type to swoon I'd have done just that when she finally told me Shepard what she'd done for her and why she was so intent on taking down the Shadow Broker.

That is nice about the DLC file.

Can't imagine BW would randomly name a file with the words Liara and DLC if it didn't have a meaning.

So all we have to do is wait now...

I would love it if Bioware did that.

I suppose to be fair you should be able to do that with Ash/Kaiden if you didn't in ME1 with them either, but all I would care about is Liara.

Personally, I'd rather Liara be a major focus (Second only to Reapers) in ME3 than to have her sidelined in some 90 minute DLC. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a Liara DLC, but only if it continued in ME3.

That said, BW has invested a lot into the character. She's practically a posterchild for the first game, now has her own comic. Add that she has the most interesting story of any of the ME1 characters and I suspect Liara fans will not be disapointed w/ ME3.

Whether I as a big Liara fan will be happy with her in ME3 will be determined by what direction they take the character and what they do with her in the comic.  Simply having her in ME3 isn't enough.  Even if they do live up to the expectations of what I personally would want in ME3 it still doesn't make up for the poor handling of her in ME2.

Dropping in to show my support for Liara. Not my favorite character, but there is absolutely no reason she shouldn't be a squaddie in ME3.

If they do that I would go back to ME1 to make a single Shep, romance Miranda in ME2, just so I could dump her and romance Liara in ME3. :D

I don't like either version of Liara much, though if she survives her ill-advised quest against the Shadow Broker, she can come back on the ship. She clearly needs Shepard's help though. Fairly helpless on her own without him.

Do want Liara as a squaddie in ME 3.

She should have some big role in ME 3 IMO, because she actually sort of had one in ME 1, she wasn't an expert on the prothean for nothing

The story of the prothean's is pretty much over. Especially after Me2.

I dunno, she managed to get Shepard's body back from the Shadow Broker when everyone else had given up on him and then was able in two years to go from a socially ackward archaeologist who spent most of her time alone on remote dig sites to a cold blooded and murderous information broker that is able to, by herself, develop the skills and connections needed to have one of the most influential people in the galaxy on the run.

Yeah, it is a completely wild and unbelievable transformation, but it is what it is.

For those of you wondering about a Liara DLC, there has been people who while they were attempting to mod found a "Liara_DLC" file near a Kasumi file. It would appear she is going to have a DLC after all.

Yes, I just opened up the 'CookedPC' folder and did a quick search.

There's this file 'twrhub_liara_dlc_lead_in_d_S_INT'   and then there is this file 'BioD_TwrHub_504LiaraDLC.pcc'.

Obviously a cutscene where she is calling you or something then meeting her at the place.

I dunno, I'm afraid to read too much into it at the moment.  It might have been a file that was added then the idea axed, its name might not mean much of anything at all, it might have just been put there as a "what if" with no real plans to do anything with it.

I really want a liara DLC (my femShep NEEDS some sort of confirmation of her undying love dammit!) but I just can't get my hopes up at this point. I feel horribly let down by how the whole Liara scenario was dealt with in ME2. All I can possibly allow myself is the hope that she will return as a squaddie in ME3.

And yet she still couldn't hack a few terminals and upload some data without Shepard's help. I assume her accomplishments between games were done the same way, and through bluffing.

I definately see her coming back, along with Kaidan/Ashley. Not sure why but I just have a feeling its gonna happen.

I'm sure they will all be back in some fashion.  The question is will they be squadmates and, in Liara's case, will it be the sweet girl we all love from ME1 or the cold blooded murderer type from ME2?

I'm not that sure she is a cold blooded murder. Her cold face is just a facade imo. That certain lines she uses to threaten that unknown human is a nearly complete copy of what Benezia uses to threaten you when you meet her on Noveria.

I rather believe that instead of being a cold blooded murder, Liara put's on a show here to appear as that cruel and icecold information broker, which is necessary for her goal, but deep inside her she is still herself, that's why she borrowed that line from her mother...

I agree.  The coldblooded thing is an act.

The Maiden stage ends at roughly 300 years, but Liara is just about 100 years old. When she enters the next Asari stage, Shepard is long gone and dead for more than 100 years

Hmm...I just noticed there's a little point on the left cheek.   I'm going to need to smooth it out a bit.  Dang graphics.

LOL, now that is attention to detail. repost when done :D

Is this smoother?

Yes and let me help her take down the Shadow Broker and then change her back to her kinder self.
