Just watched the scene where Shep stares at Liara's picture again.....

That's such a wonderful moment. We gotta get her back, people!

I agree, and it made me really want to throw something in my room. We really need her back...

I really luv her to, and yeah, she must come back in ME3 !

I just finished ME1 without her as my romance. It didn't feel right.

I thought she was fun in ME1 but they made her too preoccupied in ME2.

I liked her character a lot and WOW did she kick butt on my squad! her and tali- the whole game! LOL!

I hope we see her in 3 and she's more 'available' :D

I agree.  I can't do it unless I wait until the very last minute to go to Therum.  I didn't even finish that game where Liara wasn't my romance....it was too depressing.

I'm having trouble playing ME2 on a non-import character b/c Liara wouldn't be the romance.

Do people prefer the original, sweet and innocent flavor of Liara, or are you interested in the sequel’s, dark and edgier flavor of Liara?

I liked the original one personally.

That's how you know BioWare wrote her well, cause I too cannot play either without her. Even my Miranda romance (seperate Sheperd/playthrough2) I had the hardest time even visiting Liara knowing I didn't romance her. Liara is truly my one and only.

Yes, I just opened up the 'CookedPC' folder and did a quick search.

There's this file 'twrhub_liara_dlc_lead_in_d_S_INT'   and then there is this file 'BioD_TwrHub_504LiaraDLC.pcc'.

Obviously a cutscene where she is calling you or something then meeting her at the place.

I dunno, I'm afraid to read too much into it at the moment.  It might have been a file that was added then the idea axed, its name might not mean much of anything at all, it might have just been put there as a "what if" with no real plans to do anything with it.

I agree with you here.  It's obvious they planned to have DLC involving Redemption and Liara (Mac Walters said as much in an interview months ago).  However, plans do not always come to fruition.  We still might not get this DLC.

The original of course, but again, I am pretty sure this ME2 Liara is just putting on a facade. She is in trouble in a sense and we have to figure out why and help her take care of that debt she has and free her from this SB situation.

Same. But she's also pretty cute in ME2 :P But I prefer Liara more innocent (like in ME1) :)

I rather believe that instead of being a cold blooded murder, Liara put's on a show here to appear as that cruel and icecold information broker, which is necessary for her goal, but deep inside her she is still herself, that's why she borrowed that line from her mother...

I agree.  The coldblooded thing is an act.

She at least seemed genuine talking about the Shadow Broker.  That was just as cold blooded and out of character as her telling that guy should would flay him alive.  Ugh, I feel dirty just thinking about that.  I thought I heard at some point that Liara was one of Casey's favorites, wonder why he let them go forward with her like this.

Yes, I agree. ME2 is an exercise in heartache for my femshep. But, perhaps, that is what the devs intended. It seems a waste of a video game, imho, without some closure. I think the problem is that I don't truly trust them to treat the ME1 romances with respect. And they were truly romances - not many of the current relationship options are as deep.

Did any of you get that dialogue where she yells at you and says 'dammit?' That was when I really felt how off she was - which could be from an overwhelming stressful and horrifying two years.

Yeah she was clearly mad and launching out. It was her heated disgust with the SB that brought that on, and it was definitely out of character for her. But again, I am just gonna guess that was a result of what happened between them and that there is a ton of stuff we don't know (I am trying to find solace in this, as I keep repeating it, lol).

I think this is why I am getting impatient to see the next conversation and development with her, just to see how far she has turned and why. I trust BioWare to not have totally abandoned her true character and personality. In ME1, she was adorable.

Bioware better give me some more Liara.

Yes, I am impatient as well. Though I'm realizing I need to put some emotional distance from this. I'm thinking about it way too much. I feel for my poor femshep, that's all :-)

I am glad that she has grown up - I just wish the explanation were more in place. Perhaps - if that dlc comes out - we'll get that explanation.

Not gonna lie, I really liked the new Liara. I was disappointed that you didn't get to do more with her, but the new hardness to her character was nifty. That's character growth for ya.

I've enjoyed so many of BW's games that I really do want to trust them on this one, but considering how ME2 has gone, I don't think trust has anything to do with it at this point.  Not long before release they asked those of us complaining about the LI's to trust them, that they knew what they were doing, well now its time to pay up on that since ME2 obviously didn't live up to that promise.

They better "wow" the hell out of me with some Liara DLC. :pinched:

I honestly agree with you here. It would be a little stale if she didn't grow from everything that happened in ME1. We saved the galaxy for heavens sake and she had to grow more resolute as a result, so in that respect I like it too. Good point.
