Can someone just write a quick transcript of that dialogue option? I want to know what she says but my femshep is to scared of ticking her love bug off XD

I was playing my renegade femshep - I'd never try this with my main femshep.

What happens is that during the first visit with Liara you ask her if she needs any help. She tells you about the hacking she needs done. If you pick the option "i don't have time for this" she reacts by saying something like "you asked dammit!" and slams her hand on the desk. I almost dropped my controller.

What about a spinoff game/franchise set on Thessia with Liara as the main player character?

Sorry if this has come up on the thread already. I'm not reading 32 pages of posts and the search function doesn't work.

That is interesting, but my biggest draw is my Sheps love for Liara, so it wouldn't be the same without Sheperd.

hmmm. my guess is he'd make an appearance. they could even set it up for you to upload the skin from ME so it even looked like your shepard.

But still, if it's going to be Liara's game you won't see much of Shep, tis true.

Of all the races in Mass Effect I think the Asari provide the best framework for some real varied storylines and role-playing dynamics. Plus, the biotic-heavy battle could be seriously wicked.

I can admit that playing as Liara would be awesome. Very interesting what you said about importing your Shep into her game, that would OWN!

This, I wouldn't be all that engaged if it doesn't involve my Shepard.  Just as I don't feel the game is enjoyable without Liara it wouldn't feel right without Shepard either.

So do we need to start up the "Shep as a squadmate" threads yet?

I'd prefer to get a call from Liara saying she has found SB - and go in and help her. This way we could have some relationship discussion while taking down evil.

At least I hope..

So even though her appearance was very brief in ME2 they managed to evoke more emotions from me and my Shepard in those brief moments than the entire rest of the game and all the other characters combined.

I wish I could have felt that, but her appearance in the game is so immersion breaking that it pretty much ruined the whole experience for me sadly.  If they had done even a halfway decent job with that scene it would easily be one of my favorite games.

The chill went down my spine when she casually mentioned that her receptionist now wouldn't have the chance to work on her barriers. *shudder*

Yes. It's quite frightening and definitely more so since it's focused on you and not SB.

though - she quickly apologizes - she's not all lost - just very upset.

100% agreed. Our shepards would need to be a part of it in some form. I'd play it just for Liara if there was no Shepard but I doubt I would enjoy it as much.

Maybe he'll have a small cameo where complain about him not being involved enough and start campaigns to make sure he has a bigger part in the next Liara game?

I know this was sarcasm but just no.  I've had enough with the cameo appearances and BW trying to be "dark and edgy".  Leave that stuff to Rockstar since they know how to pull it off.

Honestly, I think I had that reaction because the character involved was Liara. I'm more emotionally involved with Liara as a character than any others in the ME universe so I was already more inclined to react emotionally. I didn't really care if I saw Ash/Kaidan, Garrus or Tali again in ME2 but I was desperate to see Liara again. I really wish we'd have seen more of her but I believe that we didn't because they didn't want to give away too many spoilers for Redemption. But at least they managed to inspire me to write my own version of ME2 with Liara.

Bioware always manages to make 1 character in every game that I get attached to and I end up sticking with them no matter what. In KOTOR it was Bastila, in ME it's Liara (I seriously only have 1 Shepard from ME that didn't romance her) and in DAO it was Leliana (all of my Warden's end up with her).

Yeah, I have a tendency to react emotionally whenever she's on screen as well

I'm happy to know that me and GF are not the only Liara fans whose heart flutters.

The mass effect series is wonderful and I would still love it even if Liara wasn't a character in it but her character just gives the story that extra edge that takes it from a 9 to a 10 out of 10 for me.  I think she's better written than the protagonist and yes I think that of the ME2 Liara as well. :P

*yoinks for her new screen saver*

The artists/animaters do such a great job with her.  She is so expressive.
