I know!  I can almost hear my squad mate in the background of that shot, saying..

Jack:  Psst, Shepard.  You might want to get up and give your girlfriend a hug or something...

Shepard:  What?  Naw.  You don't understand how it works.  I'm gonna sit here in this chair and play hard to get.  She'll totally, like, want me more if I do that!!

Jack:  Shepard...you're such a dumba**.

Thanks, Delta!  I was going to post this in here, but you beat me to it.  :-)

C'mon, everyone. Liara is counting on us!

Still, I don't think my scenario will happen. It will be just some mission Liara sends us to do. Probably to extract the desert lizard "friend" she cares so much about. Who will then stay by her side, as her new "assistant", while poor Shepard, unwanted and unloved, goes to risk his/her neck against the Collectors and their masters. Posted Image

I don't think they'd do that, as it'd have misleading implications about the relationship between Liara and Feron. It'd ****** of alot of the people who romanced Liara in the original game.

At this point (after 2 comic book issues) there's nothing between Liara and Feron, not even a hint.  With all the ground that still needs covered in the remaining two issues (Liara needs to get Shepard's body from the SB, Feron needs to get captured by the SB, Liara needs to give Shepard's body to Cerberus, etc) I highly doubt there will be time for this relationship to be developed...unless it gets literally 'tacked on' in a panel or two, but that would be bad writing.

From the first 2 comics, there really isn't any indication of romance between Feron and Liara. She doesn't even really like/trust him! I don't know how they would realistically create one in 2 short issues. Especially since it's very clear she cares for Shepard very much.

I think it's much more likely that he sacrifices himself in #4 so she can escape with the body. I think that would mean a lot to her, especially since she really doesn't have any other friends.

Imagine what the writers could do with that though! That's a great internal conflict going forward if she loves Shepard. Now she finally has the person she's been waiting 2 years for, but she feels like she'd be denying and ignoring Feron's sacrifice if she just up and left with Shepard. It would be so easy - but could she live with herself? Could Shepard if she told him/her about that sacrifice?

I really think the game suffers from not allowing the player to explore that during the ME2 conversations.

I agree.  Liara's just a very loving and loyal person towards her friends.  Look what she's doing for a Shepard she is just 'friends' with.

I think we tend to get caught up in the whole 'romantic ideal' where a person will go to the extreme to help their loved one and only their loved one.   I don't think Liara's like that.  She would do this for anyone she cares for, regardless if she has romantic feelings for them or not.

There should be something between Liara and Miranda in issue 3/4 (...to improve sales):D

Yes, I agree completely. There is nothing between Liara and Feron. I'm just saying that not everyone will read the comics, so they'd be uninformed. They'd be misled into thinking that there was something going on, if in the DLC Feron was hanging around with Liara after he was rescued.

The DLC needs to reaffirm Shepard and Liara's relationship, not seemingly put it in jeopardy. :)

So long as they do a private recreation of the events for Shep in his cabin after we get Liara to join back up in the DLC.  I could go for that.

I wouldn't be opposed to this. As long as Tali and Garrus stick with me, I don't really care what my squad ends up being composed of.

Although I will kill Feron with my Sheps bare hands if it is true, I kind of think that if Feron has fallen for Liara, that will add some serious drama to the relationship that will give me goosebumps regaining Liara's love and/or attacking a proximity mine to Ferons coat and kicking him out of an airlock, then enjoying the firecrackers with Liara. This is bad but on a serious note, I think it adds some serious angst to the whole Liara situation.

God forbid she has any feelings for him, I would crumble inside.

EDIT: then again, NO! they should just kill him off and let me resume my love with Liara.

No, I'm not sure if you've read the second issue of the comic but he's a little less nice/innocent than meets the eye.

As they said before they were curious how many players would stay faithful, i think his role is to make you jealous (and it works). It's not and will not be confirmed throughout the comics imo, it's just to leave that question "What if she..." so you're maybe drawn to other romances. His role is to make it hard to stay faithful, to fel insecure, that's why i believe there will be no solution to their relationship (which i believe there is none) before a reunion dlc or ME 3.

Oh, and if he ever touches or touched her, as Drell like it hot and dry, i will sink him in a bathtube with icecold water and watch him drown.

I'm fine with him having feelings for her, just not her for him.  Shep's only been dead a few weeks when she meets him, it would be incredibly tacky on the part of the writers to have her fall for this guy.

Something else I've also been thinking about.

If you've been faithful to your ME1 romances all the way to ME3, do you think we'll get an exclusive and special end to the game?

For example, if you cheated on Liara in 2 but reconciled in 3, it ends with Shepard and Liara merely holding hands or kissing. If, however, you've been faithful to her since ME1, then maybe we'll get a special and emotional epilogue in which you see Liara and Shepard marry at the end, and/or perhaps Liara will have pregnancy bump. It'll be amazingly emotional and sweet if it were like that, IMO.

It also made me think, Liara is the only LI they can realistically show with Shepard's baby at the end, seeing as the child will always be an asari. With Ashley or Kaiden, the baby's appearance isn't certain as Shep's ethnicity could be black, white, Asian or whatever.

I would love this, this makes for a great final. That would make an appropriate and rewarding conclusion to their story. Sadly they both can't have babies, the Asari inter species mating doesn't seem to work in reverse, so my fem Shep would probably be the only female human throughout the whole galaxy who is the FATHER of a baby.

But i truly hope they implement the option of marrying your LI (no idea if marriage is known to the Asari culture, i only know the Salarians don't) and have a baby together

I think that is a great idea, though I would prefer those who cheat on her in ME2 to not even have her as an LI option in ME3.  Serves 'em right.

If you romanced Liara in 1, stayed true to her in 2, and romance her in 3 you get the great all out live happily ever after ending.

If you had no romance in 1 or 2 and romance Liara in 3 you get a touching walk off into the sunset ending.

If you had a different romance in either 1 or 2 and romance Liara in 3 you get a warm to be continued type ending.

If you romanced Liara in 1, cheated on her in 2, she basically gives you the cold shoulder for the duration of 3 no matter what you do with no Liara ending possible.

Apply the same scenario types to the other Li's as well.

Edit:  I would be extremely disappointed if folks who cheat on their ME1 LI's in ME2 can get the same LI options and endings in ME3 as folks who didn't.

I hope so, cause those who cheated should suffer intolerable pain at knowing they messed up something so beautiful. I surely hope BioWare does this.

Actually I'm willing to bet there's no shortage of females of any species who have "sired" a child to an Asari, save perhaps for krogan, rachni and salarians. Furthermore, in case of femShep + Jacob or Kaidan there's no problem in showing her to be in early stages of pregnancy. After all we wouldn't learn of the baby's complexion until it was out of its mother's belly, now would we? And surely there would be a rather easy way to determine the complexion by comparing the skin tone of both parents.

There are some examples in ME2 of Krogan and Salarians having children with Asari, though yeah I agree that Rachni might be a bit of a stretch. ^_^

Edit: Reading comprehension ftl, you mentioned females specifically, my bad.
