For example, if you cheated on Liara in 2 but reconciled in 3, it ends with Shepard and Liara merely holding hands or kissing. If, however, you've been faithful to her since ME1, then maybe we'll get a special and emotional epilogue in which you see Liara and Shepard marry at the end, and/or perhaps Liara will have pregnancy bump. It'll be amazingly emotional and sweet if it were like that, IMO.

I would love this, this makes for a great final. That would make an appropriate and rewarding conclusion to their story. Sadly they both can't have babies, the Asari inter species mating doesn't seem to work in reverse, so my fem Shep would probably be the only female human throughout the whole galaxy who is the FATHER of a baby.

But i truly hope they implement the option of marrying your LI (no idea if marriage is known to the Asari culture, i only know the Salarians don't) and have a baby together.

+1 to this option.  (Then again, I'm terribly biased in that regard... ;)

I could also see a "five years later" epilogue where you see the Normandy flying into the Citadel, with Shep on his/her way home from a mission.  If you qualified for the best romance ending (stayed faithful in ME2, reaffirmed in DLC and/or ME3), you're greeted by Liara and their daughter at the dock.  Tear Jerker and Crowning Moment of Heartwarming all in one.

Boom! Heartshot!

Give this post a cookie

I started tearing up just reading this.:crying:

I really like the whole "FemShep is the daddy" thing because she always seemed more paternal than maternal.

They could also have Liara and Shep just disappear together after their daughter is grown. Or Mordin can find some way to extend a human's lifespan via genetic alteration. .

Shepard is a zombie cyborg now, who knows how long he could possibly live.  Hell his metal skeleton and electronic brain and nervous system might outlive Liara.

Which creates another issue, if her nervous system is synthetic, it might be impossible for Liara to get pregnant.

I think its because they wanted to force the romance's from ME2 so they intentionally ruined the ME1 character's, Liara just got hit the hardest.

I mean, I could not even talk to Jacob with out my Shep practicly drooling all over him. I went over to talk to the guy, wanted to know if I could trust him and planned to be professional and avoid romance, instead I get forced flirting where Shep looked like she was ready to just tell him take me now you stallion, it pissed me off and I never talked to him again outside of the loyalty mission and ship upgrade.

I was apalled by that as well.
Made me want to kick Jacob out of the airlock.

I, for some reason just ignored it. I think it was after that whole "spill drinks on the citadel" thing. They're best buds, not romantic whatevers. I took the tone to be more teasing than flirting after that.

EDIT: did not intend to have this many posts in a row, sorry.

I think Cerberus forgot to give feelings to Shep after rebuilding, sometimes I wished I could give a renegade punch to my Shep, poor Liara.

I know! All of the relationships for maleshep and femshep were so blatant. I hated talking to some of the LI's because you would end up going down the romance path. I accidently replied to Miranda once, and Liara's picture got turned upside down! I immediately turned down Miranda (still go tthe picture scene), but she wouldn't say anything more afterward.

I suppose Miranda/Jack/Jacob/Kelly wouldn't know of your LI, but Garrus and Tali should know better!! I thought it was so weird they could easily advance on Shepard without thinking of their previous teammates. It felt so heartless.

Don't think he is synthetic, just some small upgrades. And as Asari, if i understood this right, get pregnant by mentally scanning the genetic heritage of their partnerand completing the genes of their baby with some of the potential father that should be no issue.
Might sound weird, but my fem Shep is a biotic too, and i know it's not possible, but i would like to have two kids, one from Liara and one from her,
But i'm glad if they even implement the marriage/children option at all at the perfect happy ending in ME 3, after ME 2, i wouldn't dare to ask for more

Hehe, yeah, my comment was more tongue in cheek, but still with all the upgrades he probably got I would imagine it wouldn't be unexpected for his lifespan to be significantly enhanced.

Do Asari even get married? I know they decide when to change stages and stick with their mate for a long time, not sure if they have a ceremony. It is kind of funny that every Asari that's past the 'maiden' stage is incredibly busty though.

There could be a hilarious scene where someone takes a tour or the Normandy:

"Wow, you are very lucky to have so many beautiful Asari on your ship, must be distracting"

"Those are my kids"

"Ah....awkward"

Marriage is never mentioned for the Asari, but i assume as they adopt the lifestyle of their partner and his/her species for the time being together, i guess most Asari would also adopt the relationships rituals of that certain culture to some degree as long as it doesn't conflict with their own beliefs or health.
So i would assume marriage is possible with Liara, but probably less formal than a white wedding dress and a church. Maybe former Capt. Anderson can do the wedding, as all Capt. have the right to marry people, on the Citadel. This could make a grand final of ME 3, as Shep and Liara get married in the presence of their friends on the Citadel.

Well, its like that Asari with the Krogan boyfriend said on Illium: if you chose a human as a life partner, you only have to stick it out for 100 years and they die, but mating with a Krogan will last forever. So I'm assuming that they take all relationships very seriously once they "commit", in whatever formal way they choose to commit.

Technically, Shepard can marry a couple, she is a ship's captain after all.

yeah, but marry yourself might be a tough and less romantic challenge, even for "let's do the impossible" Shepard.

Shep: Liara, do you wanna marry Shep?
Liara: yes:
Shep: Shepard, do you wanna marry Lira?
hurrying to change places
Shep: yes
running to switch places
Shep: i now declare you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.
hurrying to change places

I also support tattoos for Shepard. My fem Shep was born on earth in gangs, she should have some gang tattoos or so hidden under her armor to remind her of her past
I sad some, not like Jack of course, one or two maybe, as a reminder of the bitter past of her youth that was left behind and she go when she was younger and not in military service

@ERJAK2 : yes it was, but still, i would like me marriage to be more romantic ^_^

What about rules against fraternization? I'm sure the captain marrying him/herself to a crewmember falls under that.

Though by the end of ME2 you are no longer Alliance or Cerberus, so I guess it doesn't matter.

I'd love for them to come up with a reason for Shepard to live a long time that doesn't seem totally random. Mordin is crazy enough to try to solve that problem, though I'm not sure how believable it would be.
