Has there been any more rumor-y type stuff about the Liara DLC? I saw that whole .bin file or whatever it was that someone posted, but have the devs hinted around anywhere?

Only that it would be tied to the comic but is something they couldn't explore in ME2.

Couldn't explore in ME2 in the main game? Or can't explore at all until ME3?

Also, linkie? x3

Sure, I would too, considering most game nowadays (i.e. MW2) only last around 5-6 hours.

Who would pay full price for a full game that lasts 5 hours?!?

I'm just taking into account BW's over hype of their games as well.  When they say DA:O lasts 100 hours, you can figure to finish it in 40, when the say ME2 is 40 hours you can figure to finish it in 25.  If they say the DLC is 20 hours you can figure it to last about 10-12.  I think a 12 hour DLC focused completely on Liara, the SB, and rekindling the romance would be worth shelling out full price for.  Certainly a better investment than ME2 was for me. :P

In the main game.  Google it, its from an interview with the writer of the comic I think.  It's been quoted around in some of the Liara threads too.

Well, this is cause for some celebration. I was...concerned that even after the main game finished and they had done all this raving about the fact that you can keep playing after the game is through, that none of us ME1 LI faithfulees were able to call up our snuggle-buddy to our quarters. Maybe there is some hope for a Shep/Liara cuddle-fest after all...But I won't get my hopes up.

Yeah I don't want to get your hopes up.  We know virtually nothing about what direction they have planned for our blue snuggle bunny. :pinched:

On a  side note from that Liara DLC topic, I hope it will actually carry through to ME3. All we got from BDtS was an honorable mention in the random galatic news. If there is a major Liara dlc, I want there to be a serious converstion about it between Liara and Shepard in ME3. If not, my existance will have been a lie.

Appearently my bro wanted it for multiplayer, which I hate. Which is yet another reason why Mass Effect rules.

I think its because they wanted to force the romance's from ME2 so they intentionally ruined the ME1 character's, Liara just got hit the hardest.

I mean, I could not even talk to Jacob with out my Shep practicly drooling all over him. I went over to talk to the guy, wanted to know if I could trust him and planned to be professional and avoid romance, instead I get forced flirting where Shep looked like she was ready to just tell him take me now you stallion, it pissed me off and I never talked to him again outside of the loyalty mission and ship upgrade.

Same here, my FemShep doesn't even go into the armory.

Hm... I've been seeing a lot of this. I haven't played with FemShep in ME2 yet. Is it really that bad? I could have MaleShep act just friendly towards everyone pretty easily, except for one inexplicably flirty line he throws at Jack out of nowhere. Some of the Kaidan fans were pretty pissed off by the Jacob stuff in particular.

Could this have been an attempt by Bioware to please those who claimed FemShep didn't act "womanly" enough. I hope not, but will have to see for myself. Are the neutral lines flirty too? Do you have to be Renegade to not flirt with the new ME2 male LIs? That would be pretty damn awkward design decision...

Pretty sure the renegade options were kinda flirty too?  I dunno, I stopped talking to Jacob after I couldn't get through the first or second convo without FemShep acting like she wanted to jump his bones right there.

Actually, any non romance related line(besides the greeting) is more "good buddy" than "wanna touch you." Apparently Jack with Mshep is much more difficult to not romance.

Pretty sure all the options were flirty. Soon as Jacob started talking about spare parts and the renegade option was "Something you want to see?".... yeah I was gonna avoid that. It seriously annoyed me how Jacob was basically being forced on you no matter what option you chose. I never bothered talking to the guy after my first playthrough.

Had that same problem on my MShep.  Another squad member I basically never talk to now.

With FemShep, you have to initiate any flirtation's with Garrus and Thane, so you can have almost all the conversation's with them and never have it lead to any romance, the romantic options for both of them are also quite blatant and you are unlikely to accidentally initiate anything.

Jacob however is another story, when you talk to Jacob, you can ask him about ship upgrades and basic stuff, but any dialog other then that, and any dialog that would open up as the games story progresses goes in to auto forced flirting mode, and its not even a little flirty, it is really obvious and intense, not just the tone of voice but also the leaning and body posturing, I wanted to throw up.

I don't know, the "next normandy gets a lounge" conversation is totally devoid to flirtation(to me) As is the post Hugo gernsback. Anything else doesn't even matter because those are the only two conversations that mean anything because he's so BORING. The "I admire that" line is unnecessary, but it's the exeption not the rule.

A lot of it is opinion I am sure, but I am 35 years old, married, served in the military and did my share of partying in my 20's all across the world, and I have only ever seen a woman talk to a man the way femShep talks to Jacob under two circumstances.

1 The woman is extremely drunk and/or high, as well as extremely horney.

2 The woman is a prostitute trying to score a John.

Just dont talk to him unless your getting the ship upgrade, Kelly will tell you when to go talk to him for the loyalty mission, trust me, this is good advice.
