If she believed Cerberus and went through all that effort to find Shepard, would she just casually jump into another relationship if she was involved with Shepard? It makes little sense.
Agreed. But the comic doesn't really handle Liara all that well. I wouldn't be surprised if the writer contrives Liara to have a fling with the vile desert lizard.
I don't believe a "fling" will occur in the comics. I do believe Liara will stay loyal considering she knows that Cerberus will be able to rebuilt you and bring you back to life. The lengths she goes through to get you back just shows me she was very loyal to you and loves you to bits. Her drell friend would have clearly seen this and how obsessed she is with getting you back. The drell is a friend to her yes, but I see it more like me and Garrus or Tali, good old buddies fighting together thats all, nothing more.

I like the idea of her doing whatever it takes to bring the Shep she loves back. To a point...no cold blooded killing.

I want my Liara ME1 back, it would be nice however to have her fall a bit and then after a realy emotional moment realize she was wrong for being so mean.
If she is not in ME3 I think I will cry lol

How on Earth did you get in a topic says "Liara"?jimmyjoefro wrote...
Hopefully they don't hold Tali aside in ME3.
Learn to read, kids, there is a whole world outside the HIPS 'verse.
Liara is most likely a squadmate in ME3.
She and the surviging alliance soldier from ME1.

I'm not sure I want that mystery solved. The way he/she/it/they were built up in ME1 was to almost mythic proportions. The truth would end up being disappointing, I'd wager.
On topic: assuming that ME3 mostly keeps the system established in ME2, what do you think Liara would equip herself with re:weapons. I don't know, it'd be kinda neat if she could just go without weapons and rely purely on her biotics... That was already something neat and fitting for Jack and Samara.

I don't mind Liara as is now, she has her reason after all. if she comes back in ME3 Liara will prob be the standard biotic and be armed with an SMG / Pistol
No. Liara needs to carry only heavy weapons. Every single slot she's allowed to carry MUST be either the mini-nuke, the collector gun, or the missle launcher...or a variation of all 3. Because she's epic like that.

Bah, she'll prolly get the dinky pistol. It would be cool to see her kick arse with just her biotics, perhaps with a tech skill thrown in for good measure. She did have overload in ME1...

You should get an option something like "why all the anger for the Shadow Broker" or something, a lower left option I believe.

I wouldn't really mind if there was another LI for Liara as long as it is resolved before ME3 lol. This would mean the Liara cheaters get less drama since it would be the pot calling the kettle black.
I will say this. Another LI for Liara would make her character stronger. The reasons for her to not have one are strong...stronger even but they point to the hopeless romantic virgin cliche. I think that if Liara is a LI in ME3 the romance would be more compelling if Liara had a previous LI since she got to test the waters so to speak. She would have a point of comparison instead of attached virgin stigma. Frankly, she reminds me of Gabrielle from Xena Warrior Princess (oh yes the dorkiness in this poster is strong) who didn't get really interesting until crap/other loves happened to her but those other events didn't ultimately dissuade her from her true love.
I will say to have Shepard be her only LI until the end of the trilogy wouldn't disappoint me at all I just think another point of reference in the romantic department would add to her character overall.
In the end, as long as the plot is heavy on Liara....I has a happy.
I agree that if she did have another LI it wouldn't make her one of those hopless virgin cliche's. I just don't see them going there with Feron because they simply don't know each other long enough for Liara's personality to allow any romantic feelings to develop, but if she happens to run across someone that's she's known a lot longer, like say one of mother's followers and something were to happen there (possibly leading to her making a mistake that gets her and Feron in trouble) I could see that. It's more believable than her having a fling with someone she's known for a short time so closely to Shepard's death, especially if she's Shepard's LI. Because she's a love interest for Shepard I don't really think they'll have her have a fling with someone else so close to Shepard's death especially since Ash/Kaidan still haven't moved on with someone else 2 years later.
Liara reminds me of Gabrielle as well. Although she reminds me of Gabrielle in the Ides of March, not Gabrielle pre-Perdicus. Liara being like she is in ME2 is like when Gabrielle picks up a sword and starts killing all those Roman soldiers because Xena is lying on the ground with a shattered spine and she won't let anyone kill Xena. Liara is doing something and living somewhere she never wanted to for Shepard. I really hope they don't do to Liara what they did to Gabrielle because I hated her boys of the week and her marriage because it was always obvious who she really loved.
