Following on from what was discussed before, I did notice the difference in her skin and eye colour, but I never noticed anything different with her head fringes. What am I missing?

I don't think you're missing anything; as said before, any changes could be due to artistic choices by the devs. I personally haven't noticed much in the changes to the geometry of her face. just the hue of her face and the colour of her eyes. This could be due to the fact that the devs remade alot of the content from ME1 for ME2, but I still find it difficult to compare ME1 Liara to ME2 Liara from a purely physical p.o.v. they just look very different to me (again, from the colour of her eyes ad skin). I'd really appreciate the thoughts of others about whether the apperent changes in Liara's appearance are due to a story explanation or otherwise. I personally loved Liara in ME1 both in terms of character and appearance, I guess I'm trying to rationalise my disappointment in her portrayal in ME2.

Still I (as well as other in this awesome thread) hold out that all is made clear in a DLC.

LOL, well I seriously doubt it was thought about enough for there to be a "story" explanation for it. ;)

Additionally, Feron is most likely boned at this point in the comic. SB takes him, and I think this is due to a choice made by Liara (i.e Shep or Feron) and we all know who she picks. Hence the massive guilt.

Wish there was a hug interrupt when she explains her anger in ME2, still realise that the devs probably limited interaction with Liara in the game as not to spoil the comic. Still would of been nice if Joker or Kelly had mentioned her after Illium.

I think it was mostly the make up, they either put more on her or the color contrast's with her skin differently, it does make her less attractive then she use to be, and I think that was also intentional by the dev's.  It was probably suppose to make her look tired and stressed, at least I hope that was their goal.

Yeah, maybe I'm holding BW in too high regard. Still, ME1 was only 2 years ago and I find it hard to believe they treated Liara (and the Virmire survivor) as they did in ME2 in such a short period of time. I wonder if the fact that Drew moved to Austin had an impact on our favourite asari.

I wonder if after Shep resolves her issues with the loss of Feron and the SB (in so far unconfirmed DLC) she returns her usual colour. Wishful thinking probably. Still, I hold out hope.

Same, I'm hoping just about everything that came with this grimdarkification is rolled back.

Ok, I will. After looking at the preview for ME: redemption #3 we can assume the SB has one base, I hope that this base requires the M57 Hammerhead to assault, partly as a throw back to Therum but also because it would add a awesome use for the Mako 2.0 aside from some random N7 missions that BW might throw in with the Hammerhead DLC.

Okay, I am back exclusively to the Liara threads for a while and will take a more active role going forward in here to continue to push the Liara support. First things first. That 6 page intro to issue# 6 says a lot IMO. If I thought we were getting DLC before, I definitely think so now. It just seems....right.

Now based on what we have all seen, is there a "thing" going on with Feron? It seems she has reached an uncomfortable(for me) level of comfort(for her) with him. Did anyone else catch this vibe?

also, as a leader of the Liara fanclub, I offer those who haven't already, to join the Liara group. click the sig.

I don't see anything major that would indicate a "thing" occuring, nothing serious yet. I could be wrong though. I didn't really enjoy that "sit on my lap" talk. Glad Liara didn't reply to that.

I agree, some parts of it scream for DLC expansion, I assume #4 will have more of the same and will ultimately leave an obvious story to continue in said DLC.

Regarding the "thing" for Feron, I personally think the writers might leave it ambiguous as to wether there is a romantic relationship between her and the drell, simply to accommodate the fact that people may or may not have romanced her in ME1. Personally I choose to believe that Liara and Shep are deeply in love, so much so Shep's death wasn't enough to part them. Others may have a diiferent p.o.v. hence the comics apparent ambiguousness.

Yeah that is what I'm talking about, but she also didn't rebuttal against him. Now I'm the last person to think there is a thing between them, but things got a little too "comfortable" with them.

At this point as much as they are trying to "amp up" Liara's grimdarkification I'm thinking they are going to make it obviously clear by the end of the comic with a big face sucking right before she leaves him to die.  That'll be the point I give up on ME and BW and disappear from here.

What makes you say this?  Just a hunch?

Liara does seem to be comfortable with Feron to an extent, but I still don't think she trusts him.  I think Liara's just coming out of her shell more b/c she has to do so in order to find Shepard.  Since Feron is the one helping her, she has to be sociable with him.  I still don't think there is anything going on between them.  It would be odd for them to throw it in at this point, with Shepard only being dead for a month and Liara only knowing Feron for probably a week.  If you think about it, not much time has passed in the comic series.

While Feron might be interested in Liara (because she's attractive and is a sweetheart), it would be poor writing if Liara was so suddenly interested in him.

I would have basically the same reaction. Though I don't think BW will do that, it still annoys me how "comfortable" Liara is getting around the stupid lizard.

Edit: Also one base SB? Really? We saw how well this worked for the Collectors against Shepard...

God I hope not, some times story telling (esp. stories with multiple variables) requires subtlety. I hope Mac realises this. Otherwise it's going to turn in to a mess.

Just dropping by to say I hope they don't write Liara having a thing for the Drell.

+1 for you guys.
