As I've said before, the ME2 noobs won't care about this weird spastic asari one bit. The returning ME1 players who didn't like her or were ambivalent, won't be impressed either, because even though some might have preferred a "darker" Liara, her sudden and poorly written ascension to a prominent information broker and an actual threat to the Shadow Broker (a "guy" who controls information that can topple governments) made her implausible as an evolving character. And of course we who liked her in ME1, are the ones most turned off of all fans.

Liara has gone from being a popular, if not universally loved squaddie and perhaps the most popular ME1 LI, to becoming a complete joke in ME2. One that isn't very funny.

Heh, I thought that him saying "...but I don't want to get blasted again" indicates that he may have flirted earlier on in the issue and she smacked him or something. Don't worry, she rejects/will reject anything from him.

Well in the second issue, *small spoilers* Liara does use her biotics against him so that's what they are refering to.

I remember during my first playthrough I hadn't asked TIM what happened to my squadmates and for the first third of the game I was playing and constantly asking myself "why aren't I asking about Liara? What happened to Liara?" then I got to Illium, ran up to see her and... was shocked. I simply didn't get it.



Waiting to see how it all plays out now. Expecting the worst, hoping for the best.

it was dumb how she was not a squad mate in ME2 since all she wanted was you in ME1 and study the protheans. So in 2 years she just drops you for revenge against the Shadow broker, She probably would of went bananas if she found out the Collectors were modified protheans.



Really stupid, the writers better have some epic plot for her actions in ME3.

A real surprise seeing her ruling an office at Illium. A great kiss of welcome, too. Hope she don´t blame me for choosing a new romance plot ^^U (i fell in love with Tali first!)



(Would be interesting to make her an enemy in ME3... Kind of Lady Vengeance for Shepard)

I'm torn.  I have both a cannonShep/Liara and a customFemShep/Liara.  They are both the best.   None of the others even come close.

Heh ... my Man!Shep runthrough was my Renegade runthrough on ME1, and I just thought Renegade Shep was way too much of a jerk to end up with Liara.  And I played Fem!Shep many, MANY times, and just couldn't go full renegade (best I could manage was a partial-renegade run where people who really needed killing got shot - like that ExoGeni guy on Feros).  I was worried this made me sexist, but three of my guy gamer friends 'fessed up that they did the exact same thing. 

That said (and before I get blasted), let me say that I fully support my Liara-Loving Board-Mates and their ability to play Renegade!Shep (Fem! or Man!) as a ruthless cold stone killer who cares about nothing but the mission ... and that adorable archaeologist.  May you have the opportunity to Shoot Feron In The Face.

And can I take a moment to mention that TIM also needs to be shot in the face?  At the beginning of the game, when you're doing the "Where Are They Now?" section, when you ask about Liara, TIM says that his sources say she's an Agent of the Shadow Broker, and Not To Be Trusted.

That lying SOB.

This, more than anything, is why I destroyed the Collector Base.  It just took that one convo for me to grow tired of TIM's disingenous assertions.

Liara and Wrex are both good choices for most missions.

Well, except the Rogue VI base assault with all those drones in Liara's case. That one is tailor made for Tali...

I missed having Wrex and Liara in my squad in ME2. Grunt is ok, and I quite like Samara... But it's not the same.

I hope Liara and Kaidan/Ashley return as members of your crew and as possible LIs. I agree that ME2 just wasn't the same without them.
