Liara as a squadmate in ME 3

I don't want table scraps relegated to DLC or some throwaway comic series, but that's the best we'll be getting for ME2 regarding Liara. And even with any sort of bones thrown our way, she will still remain a butchered character in the retail version core game. Which is what will form the basis of character continuity for most players of ME3, who never read the comic or acquired the possible DLC. Will we get table scraps again for ME3, if the devs conclude Liara deserves nothing better? Perhaps getting attached to Liara was the "wrong" choice in the devs' minds, and she will never again get first tier character attention and plot importance?
I know already I will not be satisfied by some half assed legacy character treatment, and I won't be making excuses for the devs and lowering my standards. If all we get is the wrecked UnLiara, I will regretfully conclude the character is lost for good, and stop caring. Hopefully the devs will elaborate on her importance for ME3 earlier than they bothered to do for ME2...

I'm PRAYING for a catfight in ME3 between Liara and Miranda.
That would be the worst and most cheapening thing towards both characters ever.
I'd much rather see a catfight between Thane and Kaidan.
Thane = win, win

You can always hope, but be careful what you hope for. The sooner it's released, the more content we'd like to see will be missing (again).
Good point, early 2012 then
They did say ME3 wouldn't take as long as ME2 did to complete. If I
remembered clearly, I read somewhere they have already finished the
conclusion of the finale as well as the main part of the story. A
middle to late 2011 release date could be a possibility considering ME3
is the finale, so they wouldn't need to worry much such as continuation
variables for example.
So right now we all just have to hope the
Liara DLC (if it does eventuate) will satisfy some of our desires
enough that we can wait a tad bit more, so that by the time we play
through ME3 we will get a very satisfying climax and ending. ../../../images/forum/emoticons/happy.png
That was what I thought I heard as well, now I'm just waiting to hear clear proof of Liara DLC

For instance:
Final frame = cliffhanger with no resolution.
Then text "See the exciting conclusion to this story in Liara's DLC available X X 2010 for 3600 MS points."

I'm with you on that, no half hearted speed job it will just make it worse and we don't need that.

When is the date for the last comic? We might get some info on possible DLC in that.

How much is that in Euros?

At least 1/3 more expensive than it is in US dollars. <_<

Early April if I don't remember wrong, feels like half a lifetime till then. I might have become one year older waiting, the horror

I believe ME3 is planned to be released in late 2011, a year and a half from now.
I doubt we'll be getting any Liara DLC till after April though when Redemption is finished.

Hope it's worth it when or if it comes out, at least 10 hours non-stop hug & se.. I mean "adventuring" with Liara.

If every one was as bitter as I am, this would be a very disheartening thread.
I think Mox might feel even more disenfranchised then I do though.

Heh, very likely. I am actually holding back my pessimism, and am pretty close to conceding that Liara was the "wrong" character to get attached to. My current ME1 playthrough will be my last Liara / Shepard romance, unless/until Bioware reverses the wrecking they inflicted on her in the core ME2, either with DLC or in ME3. Though if we get nothing in between ME2 and ME3 (the comic doesn't count, its looking more and more like a total loss with every issue released), the ME3 content must be pretty goddamn good...

Of course, I'm bound to replay ME1 a few times in that period. I don't think I could resist Liara for that long.

Sad thing is, if they had done a good job on Liara I would not even be visiting these board's at all. I would be happily playing ME2, occasionally thinking to myself that the main story is not as epic and that they did not add any new hair styles and just as quickly forgetting it ever bothered me to begin with.
That is the exact reason why I came here. To see how others felt about the whole Liara issue and why I still continue to lurk and occasionally post in these forums. I guess I'm holding on to the small bit of hope that a dev will reply to the Liara issues at some point with a satisfactory answer. Or perhaps a bit of info on Liara DLC or something.

If it'll be any help for you guys, after the Liara DLC is (hopefully) released in April and, after that, the HUGE wait for any more Liara content in ME3, my plans are to then leave Mass Effect for a while and forget about it and Liara. There are some huge games coming this year that I'm going to eat up (Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, new Wii Zelda, Mario Galaxy 2, new Metroid). I'll periodically check online for any news at all, and also have a look on here, but I'll be concentrated on these great new games. I think it'll make the wait seem a lot shorter, and more bearable. Then, when the ME3 hype machine starts, I'll be ready to jump back in and savour. That's what I plan to do, don't know whether it'd be any help to any of you guys.

Unfortunately non of thous games are of any interest to me and as far as I know there is rely nothing on the way I want to play... I'm ****ed in other words
I guess I go back to reading books when I get to bored and desperat.

I was hoping DA:O:A would cure my post ME2 blues but no; no romances and no Leliana.
Hopefully Alpha Protocol will be good and cure my BioWare blues. Save me Obsidian, you're my only hope!

If only because there's been a distinct lack of relevant Liara screenies in recent pages.
