Pretty!

She was always one of the more expressive characters, and the animation is one of the improved things in ME2.

I wasn't asking them to admit they failed there. I (think, after all it's just speculation) can see where they were going with the scenes involving the ME1 LI's, and I'm going to wait for ME3 before passing judgement so to speak.
We haven't seen the conclusion of the story arc, it'd be like reading a book halfway and writing a review from there.

It goes like this

Liara: ...Because I couldn't let you go. I'm sorry.
>Shepard: All this time, it wasn't your sources. You knowingly gave me to cerberus. You did this to me!
Liara: And if I hadn't, you would have been dead! It was them or the Collectors. I made the best choice I could. I'm sorry.

And then it goes back to: And now you know I have to destroy the SB etc...

I don't like choosing it, it makes me sad that Shepard gets angry at Liara, especially how she sounds when you kinda yell at her :(

Instead they just made us flatly stare at them for the quality of the writing here.

The paragon option should be "You did the right thing." or "There's nothing to be sorry about."  or something like that.

I'm pretty sure in ME1 every dialog had a P/N/R option wheras there are several dialogs in ME2 where there's only N/R and none that are just P/N.  Paragon players got hosed. <_<

I had the feeling from the start when we started to get info on ME2 that the game was more made for the renegades then paragons. It didn't turn out as bad as I feared but like you say ther are N/R options but no P/N ones.

If I remeber correctly, they did that because most of the P/N and N/R choices in Me1 had the exact same piece of dialog, so instead of having a paragon and neutral choice that made Shepard say the same thing they just went with neutral and renegade.

But this game does seem to lean towards people who like to play renegade more than paragon.

I think Jennifer Hale's VA is definitely better for that line. She really sounds like she's trying to calm Liara down, and sympathises with the torment Liara has had to endure.

Hale is always better when Shep is being sympathetic. Meer gets some snappy lines off, but his attempts at emotion always seem cheesy.

The Cerberus Network connection is a two-way thing, you know.  I'm sure we're uploading data on ME2 play to BSN just as we did for DA, only the ME2 stuff isn't posted (yet).

But I do wonder how they'll account for reloads and alternate playthroughs.  Maybe check the status for each endgame save?

Heh. We'll see. For some odd reason I sincerely doubt we'll be seeing any of the ME1 at least LI's as squadmates in 3. They all seem to have their own stories to be a part of, Liara especially so.

Hence the DLC, I think.

Thats very true and it sucks because I cant get in to playing a female character for some reason. With that said I think Meer have improved his VO from ME1 quite a bit.

I've heard that the photo of your Me1 li is turned down if you cheat. I think that's how they're gonna see if you stayed faithful or not.

Yes, I'd imagine that the data BW is receiving is akin to this:

ME LI: Liara T'Soni
ME2 LI: None, status quo maintained with Liara

It's also likely how ME3 will recognise an imported save. I also think the Liara DLC will affect it, too. If in the Liara DLC you do something to help patch up or continue the romance, that'll continue into ME3. If not, it'll act as if you never did her DLC or you failed it, similar to Bring Down the Sky in ME2.

YAY! Me neither! the only achievement I don't have is Paramour!

No need to worry for me, all my characters are very faithful to there LI's. I have the Paramour achievement because of my vanguard, but he didn't romance anyone in ME1 so he can't be labeled a cheater.
