Now that Edi has "become" the Normandy 2, I was wondering if this was for a contrast.

The Reapers are evil AI ships, Edi is a good AI Ship.

So, is Edi like a good version of a Reaper?

Sorry, but the Normandy can't go toe to toe with a Reaper. During the IFF mission, it is revealed that the Normandy's weapons can't damage the reapers shields.

Reapers are half organic and half inorganic, they emit a organic signal, but are completely robotic. So like a living robot? Iunno. ._. Supposed to be too complex to understand yet, since we don't understand much about them.

I was actually kind of wondering if this was not almost a case of history repeating its self. Maybe in the past someone made AI ships (the reapers) that ended up turning on organic life in the end. If that makes any sense at all, its just something that crossed my mind when she "became" the Normandy.

This is probably in reference to the "old" main guns. Bet they say the samething whether or not they've been upgraded at the time.

Although I doubt that the Normandy, a frigate, could take a Reaper, the largest kind of dreadnaught in the galaxy, on it's own.

yeah, cause the upgraded guns were reverse engineered from sovereign so they should be able to punch through reaper shields.

Well The Normandy is much fast and packs a big punch it took out a collector ship no problem it can probably take down a Reaper one on one.

To stay on topic, I think the whole EDI is good thing is misguided. I wouldn't be surprised if in Mass Effect 3 her quantum box gets erased and "she" becomes something different, for worse.

All AI prior to ME2 was "evil." The idea of having "good" AI in the Geth and EDI is new, and I doubt that the future holds only butterflies and rainbows.

No. She's the harbinger of their ascension.
