I find the chicken feet to be a turn-off, actually.
It isn't all about looks with me.

Yeah... you definitely didn't do her loyalty mission or pay attention to the end-game.ShadowWolf_Kell wrote...
Have at it with Miranda. Don't be surprised when she picks TIM over you down the road.
When she gives you that nervous "I'm sorry Shepard, but my loyalties lie with Cerberus" smile, remember this thread.

And of course, all the other non-nerds that take time out of their awesome lives to post on this forum are such pimps and bed women like Yvonne all the time.
Wouldnt u think teenagers would want the naked woman actually? hormones? More "experienced" or "non-nerds" would value other traits than sex appeal in my opinion. Saggsett-Fail Troll.
ur implying tali is a safer desire object correct? and teenage nerds are too afraid to go for a naked woman (implying other LI, other than Tali cuz shes in a suit im guessing) and i never said YOU only value sex appeal in anyone....
youre the one who said it....u dont know what u mean? forget it...no point in explaining your own words to you. you decided to categorize a group of people so i categorized you. >.>
This was what I typed. I don't see anything about "safe desire object" in that sentence, you sure you quoting the right guy? By the way, I was talking about her personality, And what I meant with "Tali haters" was a categorization of people who have something against Tali and her fans.

I honestly can not see what that very vocal minority sees in Tali. No, I don't hate her at all. She's a well enough crafted character, nothing less, but also nothing more. Guess I could read those threads to find out, but I couldn't care less about this nonsense. The only concern for me is that BioWare wasted time developing a romance I have no interest in. But that's only my opinion, and since I don't write that a thousand times in the forum, it won't change a thing.
I could easily say the same thing regarding the other LIs.
But realize that Bioware tries to please different people of different interests and not just one specific group. Saying that Bioware wasted time on LIs that don't interest you is sort of selfish. No offense intended, I just say it as I see it.

Where you don't have a intrest in, others do have a intrest in. They didn't make this game for you, they made this game for everybodys tastes in mind. And theres enough romances to pick from imo that should be around your tastes. But it would be wrong to leave out what everybody else wants and only focus on one type of taste. To all as their own.

Look, I chose Miranda on the first run bc it seemed like the way to go. I was definetly surprised with the Tali thing. It was cute and innocent with the conversation btw them. I would probably try her in my second go round. There was a part with Samara when you have the option to say "I want more" Is that another paramoure option? Jack seems like something i would try last or with my renegade character.
Samara declines. Respectfully.

Everybody, is all over Tali's butt, but WHY? Miranda is way more bada**, is sexier, and the romance scene is lightyears better, I went with ashley in ME1 but after getting treated like crap, im sticking with Miranda in ME3 if possible. So enough with the Tali nonsense, and GET WITH MIRANDA!
Its simple, they know Tali, they got her back story in ME1 and fell for her!
These "Tali love" threads/posts been going on for a while now, long before ME2 ever released.
If you noticed, when we get a player who didnt play ME1, they (like you) dont get the Tali love because in ME2 shes just as underdeveloped as a character as the rest of the ME2 cast!
Thats why so many going for Tali, they know her and feel a connection thats carried over from the first game!
If it was Miranda or Tali head up, meeting them both for first time in ME2, Miranda would probably be the more popular choice but Miranda (or Jack) dont stand a chance because of all the backstory and personality Tali had in the first game!
Hope that answers your question.
funny you say that, because indeed I did play the first game, bought it on the release date, It was my favorite game until ME2, but I didn't like her in the first game either. So argument voided.

1) Deal with it since the Tali love threads will be around until the series is over.
2) Or just leave the BioWare forums forever.

I wasn't particularly fond of Tali in the first game either...and she's kind of short with Shep in her sidequest if you ask about her people settling on another planet...didn't do anything to endear me to her at all. I don't begrudge the Tali fans wanting their favorite character back for ME3...I want mine too but I think the Tali threads are getting a bit much...one thread would be enough...for anything else it needs to be taken to the groups...that's why the Dev's set them up so the board wouldn't be overrun with same stuff over and over again.

But hey, if they enjoy it, let them be. Have to admit, in some cases it went really weird. I mean some people is acting like if she was the only character in the ME verse who has a personality, or like she was a real person rather than a pixelated one, but that's their issue, they'll deal with it.
There are some indeed disturbing people, those who state that 'Tali shall be the only character in ME3, write everyone else out', and forcing her on us is a plain stupid and unreasonable behaviour. In case of them, I agree with you.
Where does it come from? Mostly from her age. She's a teenager girl, and as a certain loud bunch of players are teenagers they find her more fitting. And that's the reason that some of us simply doesn't find her interesting. She's just a nice teen girl, end of story, don't force her on me.
Also she's a tech nerd, geek, call it what you'd like. Admit it or not, but some people fell for that.
An other addition: She's always like "oh Shepard you are so awesome". Some people would deny that it has to do anything with it, but look at the forums. If anyone questions Shepard, "Those people are crazy, screw them". If anyone (given Jack for example) reacts in an aggressive way first, "She's nothing but a psycho, space her!" And most importantly, when Ashley gets nervous about you coming back from the dead after two years of grieving, without saying a single a word, they become like "Oh I hate her, always hated her". For these people, they actually don't bother to discover something deeper, the first thing that says they're awesome will be their bed warmer. Not general, but it's a loud behaviour in some cases.
I, for one, see her as a teen girl, and nothing more. A nice teen girl indeed, but that's it. I'd rather play the role of an young uncle if there HAS to be any kind of relationship. She's way too naive and teen-like to consider her as a real women or romance affair. In some cases I found her closing on me pretty disturbing. I prefer some real women like Ash, who doesn't agree with me in everything or difficult cases like Jack where I shall fight my way through her ice-cold barriers to see who she really is. I'd say Miranda too, but I can't trust her. But again, all of these are just pixelated characters, yes, even Tali, which some people seems to forget sometimes (before you start flaming me, if you feel offended, then yes, you are indeed one of them)
That's why I usually stick with the: include every LI in ME3 or none of them. Everyone's happy. Or not. But there's no sc..ing around this way.
But yeah, I have one thing against Tali. Interspecies romances. It's still not explained and it will never be. As for Platonic romances, or romances where a transmitter (like the mind-melding in case of asari, however I never pursued Liara in ME1) is present, it's okay. But the fact that alien species are alien, different in so many ways, is broken. Badly. It's one of the basic principals of sci-fi, a rule that was used in ME1 too, so I don't see the reasoning behind sc..ing it up, they should have been presented as platonic relationships, not biologically reproductive... things. Weird and freaky? Yes. (Feel offended and want to flame me again? Think of it.)
So I hope it won't be expanded even further to krogans, salarian, vorcha and geth (ohh, Legion is sooo Cure, saw it's headlights and hips, and that cute little hole in his chestpiece?).

I think Tali is sweet, and so do the rest. Looks have NOTHING to do with it.
'Sides, if you don't like the threads, don't click them. O-o And here I was thinking every human being had common sense.
Except we have Tali fans crashing every Miranda thread to say how great they think Tali is and how much they dislike/hate Miranda. Kind of a double standard, isn't it?
There was even a thread where 2 Tali fans outright insulted everyone that didn't like Tali as a LI.
I personally don't like her blind adoration and teenage-like disposition. But I like the character as kind of a little sister.
I like Miranda's character a lot, both her personality and looks. What I'm affraid of is that Bioware might screw us fans of other LIs because of all the the hoopla over Tali.
