Have at it with Miranda. Don't be surprised when she picks TIM over you down the road.
When she gives you that nervous "I'm sorry Shepard, but my loyalties lie with Cerberus" smile, remember this thread.
That shows how much you know.
Get her loyalty and take her with you to the endgame as part of your squad.
You've just shown us that you are prejudiced against Miranda from the begining and didn't even give her a chance.

What I'm affraid of is that Bioware might screw us fans of other LIs because of all the the hoopla over Tali.
Well they already did, didn't they? I've not read these forums much before release, but apparently a bunch of people kept screaming about romancing Tali (and Garrus), and BioWare fell for it. That's fine, but it obviously came at the expense of other things. Now female Shepard has two ugly aliens, and only one (rather bland) human to choose from? Come on! Really, what were they thinking?
Okay, the developers state that the exclusion of ME 1 LIs was because they should definitely survive. Yet there would have been another way: Write the story differently. I'd glady trade the option to get all my crew members killed (which most people will try to avoid anyway) for the inclusion of the ME 1 NPCs. I never understood the need for kicking most of them out. Assuming that they didn't want to discourage new players, but on the other hand there's a great amount of things still that someone who hasn't played ME 1 won't really understand. It would be so much easier for the writers to just continue with existing NPCs than bringing in new. Note that the Tali and Garrus romance could still have been there. Add a handful of new companions (one or two with romances), and all would've been well.

looking at miranda and saying her character is all looks, just because she has looks, is just as shallow as the type of person you think is drawn to her character.
also, not being able to see tali adds about as much as seeing mirandas good looks do.
sorry for typos and such, posting from a cell phone
Incorrect. I didn't look at Miranda and say she's all looks. I listened to Miranda and said "Well at least she has looks."
Entirely different.
You weren't listening.

Plus my theory is right. Just put Tali in the thread topic whether its good or bad and you will get traffic. OMG!
This Tali madness is starting to get stupid actually.

Tali fans are getting dangerous, they're one step away from being put on the no-fly lists by the government.

Everybody, is all over Tali's butt, but WHY? Miranda is way more bada**, is sexier, and the romance scene is lightyears better, I went with ashley in ME1 but after getting treated like crap, im sticking with Miranda in ME3 if possible. So enough with the Tali nonsense, and GET WITH MIRANDA!
I think that you are over seeing the obvious. The reason that the romance scene with Miranda was longer was because the creators, the people who have been eating, drinking and breathing ME2 for years now expected everyone to fall for her. They specifically placed her at the beginning of the campaign and gave her a body made for stopping traffic for that reason. I know it has to be a surprise to the staff at Bioware how much of an impact Tali has created for a character with considerably different hands, feet and legs. Lets not forget that we never get to see her face and yet still with all that said people are still as fascinated with her character as I am. Instead of focusing on the fact that you like what was expected by Bioware (there's nothing wrong with that) take a step back and admire that the underdog with all of the odds against her has taken the lead. I'd like to think that anyone willing to play this game is at least open minded enough to appreciate that.

How would you even know that? The people who post on forums such as this are a very small minority of all the players. There's no way you can know which character the majority likes or doesn't. Just because some people have the wish and the time to scream loudest around here, doesn't really mean much. I can't prove anything either, but I expect that the big number of people for whom ME 2 is only one game like any other, in the majority choose a romance with the good looking human.

The only people who are screaming are those who have a problem with other people who have taken the time to mention how much they like Tali. I don't pretend to know everything or have an inside track, I was just referring to the community here who have taken the time to express themselves in the form of this forum. The proof whether anyone likes it or not is there.

'Sides, if you don't like the threads, don't click them. O-o And here I was thinking every human being had common sense.
Funny thing is that developers never thought that Tali will be popular lol And they wrote the F-ing game! xD
Tali was my favorite from ME1, ME2 was a BIG happy surprise. I never knew what'll happen, since I tried hard to avoid ANY spoilers!

In reply to the thread, yes I liked Tali but I don't want to be associated with the fanitical crowd make lists about their favourite things about Tali and put them in order. And shortcut said list from their desktop.
