First of all, is the forum search function missing?
I want to design a custom party picker for my stand-alone module, different background and lighting (and different companions). Would the easiest route simply be to overwrite the existing char_stage.are? Other than the steps you would take to add new companions to the party picker, are there other scripts and settings that I would need to change?
Custom Party Picker

I think you should copy the old waypoitns, just to be sure and to make sure the original campaign still works)
But IIRC, making a new are and setting it up is all that's needed.

The Good News: I made a new area based on the dimensions of the old area and it works great. It shows up on the new character creation screen, too, which is a bonus. It does seem the camera settings are set through some mechanism other than a stage.
The Bad News: Lotion's advice came too late! Apparently, char_stage is shared across modules, and, sure enough, is showing up in the main campaign. I made sure that char_stage.are and char_stage.lst are in my add-in/module override folder and no longer in the packages folder, but this hasn't fixed the problem. Anyone aware of any other references I need to move to make sure my new character stage functions only in my stand alone module?
Is this simply a matter of straightening out my overrides (which I would think), or have I overwritten something in the core game (why would it even let me do that)?
Update: I've scoured the packages and modules/single player folders, and the only references to the new char_stage are in the Add-ins/module-name folder (where they belong), yet the new stage STILL shows up in the main campaign (with a very old save). I checked Program Files/Dragon Age just for good measure.

OK, I think I've gotten my module and the main campaign working as they should. However, certain aspects of the character stage seem to persist across custom projects, so it seems to be a little more involved than simply switching area files in folders. Would be curious to see if anyone else was trying this.
