? Bro Story DLC are always 300+ get out of your shack and stop crying.
Thats not true. With DOW2 there was barely any download to unlock the special bonus items it was installed with the dvd.

DOW2 items were small items... these are large quests.
Laxon wrote...

300 megabytes is nothing at all for dlc. What did you expect 5 megs? Where does the voice acting go? Textures? Meshes?. Why would you even download it when you have such a tiny limit! Your own fault 100%.
So you are saying that the voice acting and texture are not installed from the dvd?

The textures are, but the voice acting for the new content is not.

As Sam Kinison would have said, "move to where the internet is!" Per MB overage charges? Man, you're getting screwed royally, switch ISPs now or move to a country with real internet access, like Finland. Broadband is a legal right there! :)
Please read my second post in this thread as I have already stated that is my internet I have when I am away from home at work. usually 5-10 days at a time. I have 280GB limit with my home internet.

You  have a limit at home?  LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO  Change providers at home.
hakwea wrote...

It lists file size on the list of available content when you click the item. If you did it over 3g why did you even download them instead of waiting till you left work and went home?
I didn't want to wait 4 days to play this awesome game

Then pay your bill and suck it up.  You made the choice so stop whining about it.
RageGT wrote...

$15/mo for 200MB?? that's plain theft!!!
I pay around $33 a month, in a "third world" country for 3MBps d/l speed, 20 GB transfer limit which has not overcharge for exceess but "slower speed till end of month" contract and it is never applied...
My stats for last month: download: 48.3 GB upload: 47.9 GB

Get a better ISP or plan because yours really really sux!
Thats good. but how fast is yours in your car?

usually try not to play games while driving... I find it is hazardous to my health.  There for I have no want or need for the internet in my Mustang.

So in a nutshell, stop whining, no one cares and you are just becoming the but end of a joke.

Basically, you need to get a new ISP. Stop playing games at work while driving and last but not least take the crying to your Internet Service Provider, they are the ones ripping you off, not Bioware. Oh yeah, and I read in one of your posts that you just couldn't wait to download the stuff until you got home, so you went ahead and did it. So therefor you made the choice to download this content so it is your fault. Patience is a virtue my friend.

It says right there on the page for purchase and download the size of the content, you not paying attention is not the fault of bioware.

Nice trolling bro, rofl.

I say that because I truly do not believe you are that stupid to actually believe that Bioware is to blame for your download limit oversight.

(But if you are, that's funny as hell)

There's your issue. Don't use 3G for anything other than serfing. Especially don't download with a 200MB limit in the age of 8mb/s internet.

It cost you because you assumed something you shouldn't have.

I do only surf the internet with it. That is what it is for.

Then you violated your won rule.

Seriosuly dude, if you think a DLC for a game like this is only going to be 10Meg, you are really naive.

This is 100% your fault. Stop whining and deal with it, and next think about things before you act.

Flaming and insulting is not welcome here. This goes for everyone.

OP: it's unfortunate that you had to eat such a heavy cost, but since the size of the DLC is noted, I don't see how you're blaming BioWare for the error.

I think this topic has run its course.

It's not bioware's fault that you have a garbage ISP and internet plan.

*Boggle* Why would you use your mobile internet to download an ADD ON?

Seriously? 320 meg is NOTHING!

You should be red faced that you used your very limited plan to download anything if it as you say only there for surfing.

Ultimately any reasonably saavy person should've figured out that a content DLC was going to be well over their 200mb limit (The Character Creation 'demo' was bigger than that)...

Wow...just...wow.

You should also be aware of the size of modern games. I mean DA:O is a 16 gig install. Patches are bound to be at least 50 mb and small DLC 150+.

This is the norm with games these days.

This here is a troll.

Welcome to the 21st century. Games are big. What "demo" even of a fully featured game (so no indies like World of Goo and Briad) is 320 megs? Blame the internet. I mean sure, there should be some size indication, but then you would have come in here with the same topic except the punch line being that you can't get content you paided for because it is large.

The problem isn't Bioware, the problem is your ISP. Unless I am mistaken, 3G internet if meant, for the most part, for your mobile phone. So if you want to jury rig it to serve your PC, don't be surprised when you get a kick in the teeth.

Dude, seriously. The size of the download is specified before you click the BUY button. If you know how big it is, and you know what you limit is then why download it and then moan about it?

Just because you WANT something doesn't mean that it should come free. Yes there are games that have unlockable content, like the one you mentioned, but I do hope you know that DLC stands for DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT. As in, you have to DOWNLOAD it.

Next time either don't download it and live without it. Or if you can't live without it then be prepared to pay for it. That's the real world for you.

klownkill, it's ur own fault, man. If you knew that you had a limit on the amount that you could download each month then you should have checked to see how big the file was before you tried to download it. Bioware cannot be blamed because you exceeded your limit unless they lied about the size of the file, which they didn't. You just need to take self-responsibility on this one, learn a lesson from it and move on.

By the gods, people! The figures I'm seeing in this thread is insane. I pay like $20-30/month for unlimited 24mb/s. Mindboggling! Where do you all live, Burma or something?

Apparently, someone needs attention. You chose to download an amount that charged you 80 dollars based on a contract you signed.

Sounds like you made some poor choices and now want to bring attention to it. Not really a smart move.

Oh wow. That's one horrible internet package. Next time, wait until you get back home before you download DLC because 100mb and up is a pretty standard size for DLC (unless it's an unlock key).

You really can't blame Bioware because you went over your limit. I can't blame the car company if I get a ticket for speeding. "The car company didn't tell me about the speed limit, Officer. They'll have to pay my ticket." =(
