Anyway, the patch was just uploaded an hour or two ago. I expect we won't see "official word" until tomorrow.

I will deal with it - as long as Normal isn't made too much easier by the increased att/def; Hard is too much for me (yeah Im a wuss.. so what) and Normal has those moments of 'am I going to make it?' that make me enjoy combat so much. I have a Mage on Easy cause I suck at spell casting in these games, and I am gussing that it might become too easy.
Can't say anything for certain until people patch up and start playing, I am hoping that I won't notice much of a difference. Won't stop me from enjoying the game, it will just disappoint me a little bit.

It affects my play - just going to have to see how much it changed the difficulty levels, the bug fixes are always good, but difficulty patches should be day 0 in my opinion (my opinion doesn't mean much, I know).
Oh, we tried for it to be out day 0. Hit a few hurdles, but now it's out, and we're working on issues reported by users now and other issues we found but couldn't fix for 1.01 (and trying to keep the servers up

Is this confirmation that the dagger damage bug is being worked on?

Little question, can I use this patch on my steam version game or I need to wait steam to patch it automatically ?Owen Borstad wrote...

* fixed import for preset face settings from the downloadable Character Creator
* made Easy difficulty easier

Will this patch work with the D2D version? Or do I have to use that silly Comrade thing to patch?
D2D version is supposed to be compatible with all downloadable patches (according to the product description page). The only version that needs a separate patch (I believe) is Steam, due to how Steam handles their own DRM
