In the original Mass Effect, the second disc contained many other languages. So i presume its the same for Dragons Age.

That is weird, the CE version of the game is only on 1 DVD. The 2nd DVD is for all of the special features such as soundtrack and behind the scenes.

Do you have non-English version? Some versions e.g. Polish one, give you the option to install full English version. Then it's only installed from DVD 1. If you select non-english subtitles or voices it will ask for DVD 2 since that's where all the local language files are stored.

I think it has something to do with the in-game languages. There's a sticker on my box that says ''Software languages in-game: Eng, Fre, Ger, Pol, (txt & audio), Ita, Spa, Hun, CZE (txt only)''. I think if you select a German install, the second disc will be needed for the German text and audio files.



At least... that used to be the way with Mass Effect.

I have the Collector's Edition. Two game DVD's and one with Bonus stuff. The second game disk is not usable either.

I got a second disc saying disc two in my collectors edition too, and the bonus disc...

Disc Two contains additional languages. In most European countries disc 2 contains the language files (voice over + text) for French, German and Polish.



If you have these 2 discs in the Collector's Edition, then you actually have 3 DVDs

If it's the European version, I have heard the second disc is used for the multi-language packs for the game.

If you are fine with English, then no need to even worry about the second disc.
