Ok so women should receive all the benefits of being a man, but they're gonna go ahead and keep the benefits of being a woman.

There's an extremely evident difference in physical structure between average men and women. That's why they're kept separate in sports.

If you think it's "sexist", then you might want to go whine at your local olympic committee first.

I gotta have a laugh at the ones saying that beating women is an acceptable way to affirm gender equality.

This, exactly. An unarmed, untrained civilian and I beat the **** out of him. No complaints?

the fact that the olympics do it doesnt make it less sexist, and yes they look different but remember that women(because of sexist beliefs) are nurture in a way that does not push them physically as males are(not all but many) so yes its still sexist

Too bad those female mercs had a shotgun of their own, and it was pounding on your shields at the very moment. I don't think a floating camera and some sharp words count as an acceptable equivalent.

This is simply idiotic. The females in sports train just as hard as their male counterparts. They are nowhere "nurtired", and they're pushed just as hard.
Yet they're kept separate in most sports, they will always be so.
Why? Because there's a natural physical difference. It has nothing to do with sexism.

And she's not using it. Oops... i'm hearing a card castle collapsing.

Where's your thread about shoving Mouse to the floor and stepping on his throat for not talking fast enough then?

Women who expect equal treatment as men shouldn't expect LESS severe retaliation based solely on their gender.

And Shepard hits her once, since when was that a 'beating'?

Slander? She asks questions. Questions to which you're given plenty chances to answer, you know, with words. And if you chose certain options you do it very effectively.

You might want to check the meaning of "slander". There's no slander in asking a question giving you a chance to answer. No matter how skewed the question is.

"Retaliation"? Retailiation to what? She doesn't hit you. Someone punches you in the face, and you punch her back. That's "retaliation". someone talking to you and you punching her? That's called assault.

When i was confronted by the annoying journalist in the citadel, and saw that renegade icon flashing on the screen, I fully expected Shepard to punch or shoot or somwhow break the floating camera. I was extreemly surprised to see him punch the girl straight in the face.

I know, It's just a game, and it's a renegade choice so you're definitely not representing a saint, but still... punching a civilian woman that, while annoying, is just blabbering?
Mind you, I'm not here crying to the scandal and bringing out stuff about encouraging the beating of women... but Am I the only one that found that just a tad over the top?

It's a funny over the top choice, but it's just an option. Even a Renegade Shepard wouldn't actually punch her imo, a Renegade would just dismiss her, punching her is too thugish for Shepard.

She doesn't twist anything. She asks you a question, and waits for an answer. If you answer with a punch, you're a massive jerk. End of story.

Luckily for my sanity, I didn't explore all the absolutely idiotic options the game offers.

People who think men and women are equally in ability in everything have their head up their ***es. I wouldn't hit a woman because that would just be an unnecessarily brutal display of douchebaggery due to the fact I could easily overpower any woman I met. It doesn't matter, anyone who displays hints of realism and chivalry is passed off as a chauvinist these days.

Of course. No one should hit women, but at the same time, women shouldn't bulldoze through whatever issues without fear of reprisal just because the opposition has a dangling genitalia and hers is fixed firmly between her legs.

In real life, I would never hit a woman. ME2 forces me to shoot hundreds of women. Therefore, within the context of the game, I think little of punching one.

Bulldoze? She asked questions. That's hardly "bulldoze". If someone asks you some difficult questions and you lack the smarts to talk back, then maybe you should consider a good corner for sulking.

It's not "the game" that forces you to shoot them. It's the fact that they're shooting at you. The journalist, though, isn't threatening you physically in any way.
