Thats why you save beforehand. Interrupts are spontaneous, paragon or renegade. Like you said, not many of them have foreshadowing but this particular interrupt was pretty predictable considering the context established from encountering her in the first ME.

To be honest I doubt a player should have to save before every single dialogue. That's simply bad design...

If it were a paragon interrupt it might have involved the camera.

Not really. Punching the camera is still a violent action that falls perfectly into the renegade "ethos". Punching a woman that's just talking in a civilian environment isn't "renegade" it's "chaotic [

If in your opinion they are disingenuous, and you're so tired, by all means, don't read them. I promise I won't punch you in the face if you ignore me :innocent:

Mind you, I'm not here crying to the scandal and bringing out stuff about encouraging the beating of women... but Am I the only one that found that just a tad over the top?

Personally, i think they shouldn't belong anywhere. But that's just a personal opinion.
Also, I definitely missed that part in Dragon Age.

So, if they're in a civillian environment, it's not okay.

Cool, I'm going to go rifle butt some female Eclipse mercs.

I must have missed that one. If it was the little girl during the Shale quest, I would have been tempted. Her continual lines about "Kitty" while I was trying to solve that stupid puzzle made me want to let the demon have her. Posted Image

There was PLENTY of moaning about that. There was even a debate about whether it was more evil to do the deed yourself or force the mother to. I was on the force the mother side.

I'd say there's quite a difference between a kill-or-be-killed combat situation and an interview...

Honestly nobody deserves to be punched for asking tough questions in an interview.

But it's renegade shepard, he doesn't care what people deserve.

tablid journalists (espeically the ones working at fox "news" ) are the lowest form of scum on earth.  I have no sympathy for any "accidents" that happen to them when they shove cameras in peoples faces.

wow, it's 2010 why are you so stupid?

Fox news is no different from MSNBC  or CNN or is that ok because they are just left wing nut jobs not right wing wing nut jobs?

Shepard punches, shoots, and blasts lots of people in the face. It's just his thing. Perhaps Shepard is the only one who isn't discriminating in the mass effect universe.

Tell that to Samara.

But I guess unadulterated violence is okay as long as women are punching women.

If you were aware at all of the first game, you would have known what was going to happen. Stop crying, it's over-the-top but so is this entire game. Christ.

Would a slap be more appropriate?

Punching her does seem a little...extreme.

Sure, because having played (and finished) the first game means having explored every single dialogue option?
No one's "crying" here, mate. Luckily there are some people able to hold a debate without taking a gratuitous aggressive stance. It's rare, though.

Strawman arguments don't really give any more solidity to your case, you know?

I still stand by what I said earlier. The games for Mature audiences. Us grown-ups should have the mental faculties to comprehend this subject matter.

And given your argument, I have problems believing that you're, in fact, part of the "us grown-ups" group...
