Are the over bloated cut-scenes and dialogue killing ME?

some of the combat sections did feel shorter than they could have been, but the solution to this would be to make them longer, not to cut dialogue and cutscenes

So I have just finished the game. I will admit that it was a good game but not great. The main problem I have with this game is that there is more cut-scenes and dialogue than there is combat. In fact it feels like the VIDEO GAME is the exact opposite of most games I play, in so far as the dialogue outweights the action 3:1. Usually, for a VIDEO GAME, the action outweights the dialogue 3:1. Take DA:O as a good example of a good ratio for a VIDEO GAME.
When I first heard that the game would have 2 disc for the Xbox I was genuinely excited. Here I was thinking that that would mean oddles and oddles of combat. I mistakenly assumed this because I thought I was buying a VIDEO GAME. However, to my disappointment what I got was little more than a SOAP OPERA in space.
To say that the developers focused on the ROMANCE instead of the COMBAT in this game is a gross understatement. That is all this game, and I use the word GAME very loosely, is. To think of the potential that ME universe has as a VIDEO GAME the mind boggles as to why it is wasted on ROMANCE! Surely those who want this much ROMANCE in a game can find other games more suitable, like SIMS 3 for example.
For me, ROMANCE is killing ME. ME 2 is just plain boring when it comes to playing a VIDEO GAME. I might as well watch a movie because a VIDEO GAME ME 2 is not! It is instead a SOAP OPERA and BSG is a much better experience than ME will ever be if you want a SOAP OPERA in space.
So, to the devs. Please ignore all the nerd-rage and give us back a VIDEO GAME for ME 3 not a SOAP OPERA. Some of us do have a life and don't need to live vicariously through a VIDEO GAME playing house. I, foe one, would much prefer the developers concentrated on COMBAT instead of pandering to the demands of the noisy minority who, for some strange reason, think its fun to play a game that is little more than a SOAP OPERA!
I dislike the use of the word "Video Game." Video games are console-centric snore fests for people with A.D.D. Gears of war is a "video game." Halo is a "video game." I want a PC Game. It sounds like you just wanted a shooter, well tough.

Hit locations were the only improvement. Everything else was worse than ME1.

Wait what? I never saw a romance-heavy game, when looking at ME. Actually, the only choice you make concerning a relationship is wether or not you pursue it. Most of the Dialogue in ME is spent to develop charakters and story and this isn't game breaking, but quite the opposite. It's what makes ME so unique.
Actually sometimes there were situations were I would have liked to talk my charakter out of, instead of fighting. If you dislike charakterdevelopment, don't ever talk to someone and hit the spacebar over conversations.

I still have to see exactly how dialogue and conversations handle in ME2 (Installing DLCs currently) but I'm certain that I won't complain there's too much talking and less combat. For me the combat sections of ME were the intense, brief moments to cool-down between the story segments - simply a mechanic to advance the story forward. Not that I didn't enjoy it greatly, but for a character/story driven game as ME (and all other BioWare RPG titles I've played) the combat is not the sole focus. It's what you use to tell a story in an interesting and engrossing manner. You hack away dialogue, cut-scenes, characters etc. and you're left with a hollow experience.
Even pure shooters like BioShock (it had some RPG elements, admittedly, but it's still a shooter) would have been a total mess without a great story and dialogue to back them up.
If you want more shooting, why go for ME2 at all? There are a lot of combat/shooting oriented games out there, single or multiplayer.

Dialoges are wonderful and so beautiful interaction within all the game.
