This game is too addicting and my gf broke up with me b/c I was playing it too much.

I didn't see any disclaimer like they have on cigarrettes but I thought it would be ok.

No joke. I would really like my money back and plz add a disclaimer

No where on my cigarettes does it tell me "May cause relationship issues"
And really? You said you have been playing games for 20 years in an earlier post, so that says 2 things.
1. You haven't been truthful to him/her at all within the time you have been dating.
2. You're a little boy who lies and has a weird fetish for people digitally yelling at him.

What is even sadder is that you take time out of your life to do this.

Remembers me of the "You characters dont need to eat, but you!"-loading screen in BG2.

They should have sth. like that included in DA:O.

Mailing EA may help! Say your problem and maybe they will send you a glitchless version of your grilfriend.

I don't believe the original post is not either a troll or a joke.

No one is that stupid.

My wife is tolerating me playing this so far. I have some things to do around the house this weekend, so I need to find time to deal with that.

Any chick who breaks up with you because you are enthusiastic about a hobby isn't worth dating. I'd tell her to go to hell.

if your gf is so needy that she broke up with you over a game thats only been out a mere 3 days, you need to kick her in the damned head and tell her to gtfo. however if you have done this again and again with other games, well, she needs to kick you in the head.

Clearly if she broke up with you after a game has been out for 3 days, either you've been playing 24/7 without sex breaks, or you've clearly had a video game problem with her in the past and Dragon Age has been your third strike. These forums are the wrong place to go for sympathy.

She's just spending more time with me now that you found a new love. I will take good care of her.

May I introduce you to self control? Self control say hello to Legacy_Quest. If you're girlfriend comes third then there may be other issues there. Balance man, balance.

To avoid domestic discourse between my wife and I, a simultaneous purchase of a DS game she'd been waiting a while to play bought me the necessary time to feed by Dragon Age addiction. If I'm still playing through the game by next month, then I'll get her another game. On the face of it, it seems like I am feeding someone else's addiction to feed my own, but, luckily, I don't dwell on such thoughts.

How's this for a disclaimer on the package:

Great thing about having a wife of several years instead of a Girlfriend: My wife enjoys hanging out & watching me play games, especially games like DA:O that are practically like movies to people that are not playing. Best of luck in the future. Eventually you'll find someone that shares your interests.

If you're serious, your GF is a loser. Not you. She shouldn't dictate your free time.
I hate "You can play video games because it's stupid, and takes attention away from ME! And IM MORE IMPORTANT!!!" attitudes the lower class women have.. and your ex sounds like that type, so she can go to hell.
I've been married 5 years, and a dedicated gamer my entire life. My wife doesn't care if I spend an hour a day gaming, or 8, or all weekend. Shes not an insecure phyco.[/quote]

I agree, well maybe not with the going to hell thing, but definitely with the idea that couples don't have to live in each others pockets.   That would drive me nuts.

Happily married 20 years this Dec. and my husband knows that if I have a new game he won't see me except in passing.    His hobby is fishing and hunting.  Mine is video games.  I've never said "oh no don't go out hunting, that's not a useful way to spend your time"   I think his first wife did that.   He also plays once in awhile so it works.  If the girlfriend/boyfriend is that controlling now, it's probably going to get worse.
