It may not be large to you, but that is a pretty large aspect of someone's character some would say defining in some cases.  It shouldn't be but for our western society, it really is.

Please tell what would change if Jacob liked male Shepard? Besides that he likes guys as well as girls.

Sorry, I just had to respond to this.

Let's say you have the sterotypical idea of a nerd.  Ok?

Now, step by step:

Take away the studying (what changes other then the fact he likes studying?)

Get buff (what changes other then the fact that he has muscle?)

Become a ladies man (what changes other then the fact that he's a ladies man?)

And so forth.  Not in any step can you identify where the major change happened.  Do you see my point now?

Thats a huge misconception people have towards homsexaulity and lesibiasm.  My development as a person is hardly dependent on that aspect.

Studying, though, effects my erudition-- studying more or less would affect a  lot.

Being gay effects very little, and exist on a different tier than optional things like  studying or excercise

Disagree.  Studying doesn't affect who you are as a person if homosexuality doesn't.  A homosexual person would act differetnly towards another homosexual than a heterosexual correct?   That's a change in persona right there. You can't really say one thing affects something more than another.

i bet they would actually celebrate it at this point. It appears that the bulk of Tali Fans are maleshep players who are either indifferent on this issues or vehemently opposed to Femshep/Tali romance. they would jump at the chance to ****** off as many Tali fans as they could. i faced their opposition on the old forums and it seems i face the opposition of my former brothers now. its sad.

You're damn right, I'm opposed to you suggesting that DLC be released that changes the established personality of a character -- ANY character, not just Tali -- because you don't like it that way. But you want to set yourself up as some sort of martyr, heroically standing up for the OBVIOUS romance that was OBVIOUSLY there because you projected your personality and/or desires onto a character created and brought to life by a team of writers a year ago, and fail to realize that THEY have the final say, not you.

To suggest that Tali not being a lesbian romance was some sort of mistake is insulting

man, you are such a pleasant person. i just love hearing from you. such a nice guy. i love that you take the time to come in here and spread your love. oh, and did i mention how terribly insightful you are? please tell us more.

I'd like to say that I am a female player and I LOVE Tali, I accepted a long time ago that she wouldn't be an option for FemShep.

While I was upset by it, I'd rather have Tali as just a MaleShep than not have Tali at all.

Wow I can't believe someone is criticizing the sexuality of an already established straight character.

not everyone is bisexual, contrary to some belief.

In reality in a video game there isn't a huge change but in reality my perception of that character is altered how I interact with them is altered. But in the case of this no it would not change much but yes it would change how he is perceived.

Then every character in the squad should be bisexual, in case the Shepard you role-play is homosexual.

Better idea: How about you role-play as a homosexual Shepard whose advances are rejected or simply ignored by people who are straight and don't really reciprocate? I mean, this is a RPG, no?

By 'us', of course, you mean your selfish, arrogant, self-entitled clique consisting of yourself and 3 or 4 people who agree with you, right? Because you've made it clear that you don't want to hear anything less than "Bioware should make non-player characters have undefined sexualities that change based on what we want". Should Garrus also stop being a former C-Sec Officer because you would rather he was a Turian Army Deserter? Or perhaps Thane shouldn't have the annoying sickness because you don't want him to die?

This is SHEPARD'S story that you are roleplaying, and if you roleplay a gay Shepard, then you have to accept that not everyone rolls that way.

Being gay I mean.

And that applies to the game how?

Well I am not really stating on the game just the fact, as to the game they want to strive to make these characters seem believable and have done a strong job in doing so with all the different threads about this character and that character.  As to how it applies to the game it isn't anything I could explain via text it would take a longer conversation about my and your own personal habits, desires, and idiosyncracies.

For me, JUST ME, I know that I felt slightly uncomfortable speaking with Zevran when he hit on my male character but I handled it and closed that thread.  But it changed how I perceived his character in a way that may not have changed for you.

sadly if you go who was that gay guy in DA:O most people will know what you are talking about, it's sad but it's the truth.

Now I am just rambling but yes it would play a more societal role that exists outside the context of the game in the eyes of each player.

No, what makes you think that?

sexuality, not always, is a factor. It definately will not be written to be  factor in a videogame, so not to offend/annoy people.

I don't think I could bank this whole experience on one character, Tali does not make the game for me, she just makes it better in the aspect it matters which is romance.  The main focus for me was surviving the suicide mission with no fatalities.

Everything else was fluff.

But, apparently, it is supposed to get Bioware's DLC resources dedicated to packaging a patch or DLC pack that doesn't break the engine in order to modify LIs' scripted orientations.

And what makes you think that she isn't into Femshep, besides the fact that their relationship just sort of drops off abruptly into the invisible space ether? That's what's in question here - why did it happen, should it have happened.

Keep in mind that the same steps that it took to go from Tali in ME1 to Maleshep romance in ME2 could bring Femshep relationship in ME2 to Femshep romance in ME3. In fact, less, as they are now extremely close. The question appears to be solely, "do the fans want it?", given how it turned out last time.

What relationship?

Does Legion have the hots for me because he agrees to have casual conversation with Shepard? I mean, I'd like this supposed "romantic dialogue", please. Seriously. Go find it on YouTube for everyone here. I want a recording of Tali coming onto a female Shepard.
