Er...no. I don't feel the same as you did for Tali. Granted, I love Tali and so does my femShep but...physical love? No. Tali's hug doesn't have to be looked at as a 'I want you Shepard' kind of thing, nor does her suit linking comment. I took it as a 'Shepard, I trust you with my life, your my best friend and like a sister.' Most Quarians never get to experience what it's like to have a sibling, with femShep, I think that's how Tali feels, she starts to feel what it would be like if she had a sister. I found that very suitable and really helped me bond even more to Tali.

BUT If there is many people who would like Tali to swing both ways I wouldn't have problem with it. Hell, I have no idea why there is no same sex option. Also I know that Tali has strong straight fanboys base, I wonder what they would say about bicurious Tali

seriously buddy, my cause is screwed anyway. there is no chance. i know that. this thread and all my rage was just my passage to accepting that hard truth. so what do you have to say to me now? Mr. Guy? "hooray"? "you lose"? whatever man, it was my ideal ME experience to have Femshep romance Tali and i lost. i know that. i still love the game, it just sucks a bit for me. wanna gloat?, go ahead. i bet it won't satisfy you that much, but go ahead.

Oh I did. And it was IMO far worse than Samara, Thane, Mordin or Garrus. Didn't like Tali much more after that. She was not appealing for me in ME1 and still isn't. Her mission was boring for me (the only one worst was Grunts). Sorry. Deal with it.

It diminishes your argument and stance and turns what could be some constructive criticism of an aspect of a game into mere fanboy/girl fantasy creation.

well however you want to look at it i guess, but i disagree with you on "how things get done via forums" as well i guess. Your way seems a bit more nice i suppose, but i've found in my experience that it doesn't work too well. The majority of individuals that spend time on these forums already know what they think about the game and their thoughts/opinions are based on their experiences in the game. If they played as Maleshep or Femshep originally they are "tainted" so to speak (although "tainted" sounds negative and i don't mean that). Anyway, i think the majority of players went with Maleshep and are rightly aligned with that perspective. Those that went with Femshep (like myself) are "all over the place" in terms of their sexual preferences and/or reasons for rolling a Femshep and therein lies the problem with such an isolated cause as this. As Femsheps we are hardly as "together" a player as Malesheps in number or alignment.
Again, in all honesty, my cause is dead. this thread is a waste of time. there will be no Femshep Tali romance. i mean i guess there could be, but i am not holding my breath at this point. and i guess i shouldn't say it was a waste of time because there were a lot of nice people i heard from that felt the same way i did, and that was nice. however, i feel like i met an equal if not overwhelming opposing front that for some strange reason were vehemently against the idea of a Femshep/Tali romance. whatever, i'm fairly reasonable. unless someone else rises with a banner of "Femshep/Tali Romance" i'm done, its over. i'm too sad over it all to continue. peace out.

I know I've made comments earlier, and I wanted to apologize to Naltair if I got personal with my comments. Wasn't my goal.
I don't think we'll ever get agreement on this subject, which in and of itself means that bioware probably won't let it happen, which sucks.Like I said, I was far from optimistic to begin with, but this thread has basically shown me it won't be happening, because it would have to rely on a fanbases outcry. This thread has been about 80% people saying no, so that kinda ruins it.
I do still question peoples logic of Tali being completely straight, and thus ruling out any other options. The idea that "that's how bioware wrote it" is deeply flawed, because you could make the same statement about "Tali not being interested in Shepard romantically" after the first game. Canon changes. At no point in this game did they say tell you Tali doesn't have any interest in a Female Shepard, they just didn't give you an option to pursue it. Which is basically the same thing they did with Tali to Shepard, male or female, in the first game. It could still be changed, and it could easily be explained by just saying that it's the first time Tali has ever been attracted to a girl, and adding that on top of it being a member of another species, let alone one who has plenty of options herself, didn't feel secure enough in herself to step forward.
I don't know. I guess it might have something to do with how convincing Hale's voice acting was when she was defending Tali at her trial, mixed with my first play through being as my favorite Shepard, which is female. The first time I heard Tali's lines like "I got better, I got you", the "I wish Shepard was here", and the suit linking conversation was all with my female Shepard. And, to me, everything pointed toward attraction. First play through is always the most powerful, right?
So yeah, I guess I'll just have to let this die. I still have my "Head Canon", and I can still write/read fanfics I suppose. Cause at this rate, my canon dream of ending the game with my female Shepard living in a house on the Quarian homeworld with a the Reapers beaten and a peaceful resolution between the Quarians and Geth is basically null in void.

As far as I'm concerned, judging from what little is known now, Tali was actually planned as being bi, as was Thane. Until BioWare decided to censor it that is. Which is not really understandable, given that F/F romances are included in a lot of BioWare games. And the only problem with ME1 was the very expletive sex scene between Femshep and Liara. Since ME2 is missing "real" sex scenes, there really shouldn't have been any problems with it.
And as someone else said, homosexual relationships aren't just for us. Heterosexual people, male and female, can get heir kicks out of them as well. There are plenty of straight male gamers playing female toons who want to romance female NPCs, because they appeal more to them. A lot of the M/M fanfic isn't written by gay men, but (straight) women. Yaoi is relatively popular these days, and again, most of the readers aren't men. Make of it what you will, but the target audience for homosexual relationships is not just homosexual people. I do in fact believe that the majority would enjoy the option for one M/M and one F/F relationship, even though gay people per se are a minority. Not being gay doesn't mean you cannot enjoy a gay romance of the opposite gender.
And yeah, I am very much confident that people *will* actually find something over time. And I do hope that BioWare will decide to enable the "censored" romances via DLC, so it remains strictly optional. Again, we're not asking for as many or even more romances. Just one option for each gender would be great and hugely appreciated. As is now, I'm very reluctant concerning ME3, i.e. I will be voting with my wallet. Before release, the consensus was that yes, there will be homosexual relationships. I pre-ordered ME2 only to find out that they have been removed from the game. The game is still more than decent, but it's missing an integral emotional part.

I agree they give Shepard a humanizing factor and they form an important facet for him/her. It says to me that the character has their own inclination and is not some fantasy sex bot that bends to his/her every desire and whim.
It's one thing to humanize it's another to say that every character should treat every gender the same when it comes to romance when that isn;t even remotely realistic.
way to miss the point. Commander shepard is supposed to be a canvas upon which you project what you feel the character should think or feel. It's not about sex, it's about shepard, falling in love with your favorite companion character. Sad that your head goes right into the gutter.

How did it go to the gutter, you can fall in love all you want, sometimes the people you fall in love with just won't return the favor. This is fine, like I have said numerous times no matter how much I would want an official Thane male shep romance it won't happen. I would have to live with that, no amount of playing or modding will make it official. I support your idea of projecting those feelings but to feel cheated if they are not reciprocated is odd to me.ERJAK2 wrote...

Or Samara who isn't a choice for anyone you can love her deeply but in the end she says that part of her life is over, you have to respect that even if you don't like it.

Not sure how much of a bump this will end up being, but I said I'd post it.
Starting about 7:30 is the suit-syncing conversation with a few extra pieces that aren't in the game. Other than that, every single line can be directed at a Female Shephard, and even the ones that aren't fit seamlessly with the missing Jennifer Hale lines.
