1) Jacob. Was loyal. He volunteered to go through the tunnel or whatever.. I agreed. He succeeded but then got shot in the head by a cannon as he was closing the door. Genuinely felt a little bit sad about it, considering my feeling towards him throughout game was pretty impartial... didn't like or dislike him... yet his death slightly startled me.
2) Zaeed. Was loyal. Had to choose someone to lead team 2. I selected him because he was a battle hardened warrior who's seen all sorts of warfare in his life. Zaeed successfully lead his squad through and rendevouzed with us, but he was mortally wounded and died from his injuries after we secured the doorway. I always sorta liked Zaeed in the game.. he wasn't a fully fleshed out character like the others, but what was there, was very well done.
His final words before his died suited him well... I felt genuine loss for him... he died as a hero.. I felt proud of him.
Finished the final fight alongside Garrus and Thane. Both survived.
My character was a female Shepard paragon imported from Mass Effect 1. Finished Mass Effect 1 with Garrus and Wrex. Had a romance with Thane (was very tastefully done by Bioware).
I'd like to also say that it was a special personal moment for me to have Garrus at the end... Garrus fought at my side against Saren in the end of ME1. When Garrus was falling to his death in the end of ME2 and to see my character save him was very moving... and then to have Garrus save my life shortly after as I made my hail-mary jump to the shuttle... I was truly moved by that.. brought a single tear to my eye
Never had a game ending be so emotional to me before.... the only thing that would have made it even more so if Wrex were at my side as well.... 3 old vets to save the day again... this time it was just Garrus and I.... although in a way perhaps that made me feel even closer as a friend to Garrus though
Cannot say enough how beautiful the ending was... Thank you Bioware.
