Just finished and lost no one. I read only that you had to split up from threads, nothing else. I sent Legion with my trust to open the doors, he pulled it off. I sent Garrus to lead the second team, figured Shep trusting him with this was both a passing of the torch should Shep fall and a chance for him to finally find closure over the loss of his squad. Everyone pulled through. I love Joker holding the line for you, then Tali pulling me to safety was just great.

I lost 3 good people on that playthrough! *sniffles*

Zaeed didn't make it through after defeating the Reaper. Miranda looked like she was going to make it, but passed on shortly after I removed the debris off her. And, finally, Mordin was killed while helping the others keeping the Collectors off my back.

Legion. When it came down to the argument between him and Tali, I sided with Tali. That made Legions loyalty drop to normal, and he died.

I lost Mordin and Tali. I made Tali the distraction team leader, kind of thinking she would die. In which case I figured I could just restart the mission later. I regret that now, I wish I had just went with all of the logical choices my first play through and tried my best to get everyone through. All of these people saying they got everyone through their first time is making me feel bad about myself.

Like many I had 3 deaths.
Legion through vents
Samara as leader for both 2nd teams.
Jack holding the barrier (did the huge explosion that people mention samara does but miranda doesn't)
Jacob went back with the crew.
Ended up loosing Legion when he was closing the door and got his head blown off. No Idea why as others here have said they sent him in the vents and he didnt die. Maybe I was too slow.
Samara died at the end of the second team part when closing the door.
Lastly mordin somehow just became a corpse on the floor on the way back to the ship.
Would be nice to know the right way to do it for the second playthrough.

i dont want to do that sry if i did make you feel that way Image IPB. i just went with certain ppl b/c i thought they were best for it. but hey thats ME is about no person has to play the game the same way. plus you hav plenty of time before ME3 comes. so you have time to save those people Image IPB

really the whole last part of the game is played on an invisible count down after your crew is taken. if you take to long your crew dies. something for the vents even if you unlock the vents for the person inside but took to long to get to them it still leaves much resitance (spelling) for your second team. thats my theroy any wany. i was a soldier so i would use ardeniline rush to get to locks if i had to move past enimies. and as for the right way in doing the last part id say think of people your sending to do the job. one person said it before in this form "everyone is good for the job but certain people are alot better for it." thats my $1.25 for you :)

No one died on the mission, and I rescued my crew. Legion took the vents, Garrus led both fireteams, Samara was my biotic specialist, and Jacob escorted my crew back to the Normandy. Grunt and Samara joined me for the final battle.

Nail-biting stuff, though, and I'll have to do it again because I only got to level 29 by the end, so I've gone back to just before the IFF mission and completed every side-quest to get me to level 27. Hopefully I'll hit level 30 at the end and still save everyone. Dreading it, though.

First time I had Mordin die towards the end, where everyone else falls back to the Normandy.

I re-played and had Mordin with me during the final battle. Everyone (inc crew) survived.

Tech: Tali

First leader: Miranda

Second leader: Miranda

Escort: Jaeed

Barrier: Samara

Mordin and Legion.

Legion only died because I chose Miranda to hold the biotic shield.

Zaeed and Tali

I liked Zaeed and him being an ex-Alliance and being the most dangerous merc in the galaxy made him seem like he had enough experience...guess he's used to being the lone ranger and not leading a squad...=(

Legion and Miranda. All because Miranda was un loyal from the Jack/Miranda argument, and I sided with jack. I should've have Garrus lead the fire team, then maybe only Miranda would've died :]

On my first playthrough no one (huge success!). On my second Zaeed and Mordin died (Zaeed was team leader for the diversion when you set up a biotic shield). Third Miranda died.

I lost legion as I had Samara leading the first squad (as she has the most experience) and then lost Zaeed as I had him leading the second squad (he has seen more combat than anyone else on the team and helped create the notorious Blue Suns). Meh.

No one.
Saved the entire crew and all my team mates lived too.

Tali through vents.
She never even complained about the heat like others had said she does.

Garrus lead team. Figured since he lead an elite team that survived the toughest mercs in the galaxy he would be a good leader.

Sent Grunt back with the ship's crew as I had maxed out his regen and figured a perfect krogan could lead them back.

Used Jack for Biotic shield as she is one of the strongest biotics in the galaxy.

Had Garrus lead the 2nd team, again for same reasons.
Garrus got shot but shrugged it off.

Took Morinth and Miranda for the end fight left everyone at the door.

Before I started the end mission all the galaxy was 100%, all upgrades were bought except for heavy pistol's last one and skin weave upgrade for shepard.

All were loyal, and I had broken up all fights with renegade options.

Went right after IFF was installed as I didn't have anything else left to do in the game.

Was nervous the entire time that my crew was going to die so nice feel of urgency and tension.
All I can say is the widowmaker sniper rifle and Morinth's AOE mind control were real game winners for the ending.

I lost Thane in the vent mission and Legion in one of the squad leads. Mostly because I failed to notice the words "tech Specialist" and "leader"

I figure Thane was gonna croak soon anyways, may have well sent him on the "suicide mission" in the suicide mission

on the second play through almost everyone made it but Miranda decided to die for no reason while holding the door. I even hurried. Ah well. Not a big loss.

Jacob in the vent mission, Zaeed as team leader for the second distraction team.

I was fine with that, didn't feel much of a connection to either character, so if two of them were going to die it may as well have been them.

Grunt, as 2nd team leader.

Saw his coffin at the end, decide to reload and try again.:crying:

Choose Jacob as 2nd team leader, no one die.

Fail at baby-sitting...

Jack died on my first playthrough, while a member of the team holding the doors. I just didn't have quite enough paragon points to make everyone loyal. Hate to say it, but the galaxy is probably safer with her dead anyway. Both Jack and Thane died with my second Shep, tried to make some different choices on the suicide mission and learned that Miranda isn't quite as good at holding the Biotic dome as Samara was. I don't mind losing someone, it makes it seem more like a dangerous mission with the fate of the galaxy at stake.

I lost Zaeed on my first playthrough, I made him leader of the 2nd distraction team, didn't feel bad though as I didn't really feel much for the character in the first place. Other than that I lost no more squad mates and had Legion + Miranda in my squad all the way through. I'm still quite disturbed though after watching Kelly get liquified, she was the only girl on the ship that I wanted to get with, besides Samara anyway. On my second playthrough now though, don't intend to make the same mistakes.
