Heya folks!

It's been 2 days since I finished Mass Effect 2 and I 'miss' the game like I'd miss my girlfriend. I'm trying to wait a few weeks before replaying (hopefully when some new DLC has come out) but it's HARD not to think of the game.

Anyway! I have a suggestion for Mass Effect 3 and I really hope the developers get to read this because, to me, this would be a very important improvement.

It's about the romance option. I understand and even expect that Mass Effect 3 will have new romance options but because I don't want my Shepard to be the one-night-stand type.. I really hope that he also has the option to become devoted/commited to a relationship from either ME1 or 2. Because.. you see, some of the moments Shepard had with Tali were so cute and heartwarming that if I had the ability.. I'd have made Shepard tell her he loves her.

I think I'm not the only one who's crazy about Tali (in the perfectly healthy way, I might add ^_^) and I also think I'm not the only one who'd like to see the option to continue the relationship with her in Mass Effect 3.

Now, Tali is just my example of course but I think my suggestion is clear. The feeling of rejecting Miranda and Jack and go for Tali was a great ingame experience and I really hope I can continue my Shepard's devotion to Tali in the next game!

Cheers,
Maphesta

I'd just like to see a more serious and indepth relationship. One that starts at the beginning of the game and involves whoever you chose to romance whether it be Miranda or Tali. Let it play out in game between Liara and Miranda if you had Liara in ME1 and Miranda in ME2. I know that's probably not possible... but a DLC of that might be nice.

Femsheps got royally screwed in ME2 and i am not the only one who says this. I just hope that they will allow the player to choose thier LI regardless of race or gender. I played ME2 and remained celebate because the LI for femsheps are truly the worst. My second pass i am avoiding any LI except for Kelly and that is more like a placebo than a compelling LI.

Yup, that's basically what I'm trying to say aswell.

I want the romance to become a big part of the story. I want it to become an actual relationship with pros (love, commitment) and cons (weak spot / opportunity for your enemies, etc). I'm 500% certain BioWare could pull this off, and it might be that little extra that would make ME3 be superior to ME2 like ME2 was to ME1.

You have my Support, Friend
I also stand by this Suggestion. it's a noble and wonderful idea.
DLC for an Indepth Relationship with your Love Interest would be wonderful. Strong. and Powerful. make it feel. Real. I mean for me. (Tali) The Romance was pretty Strong. Her Telling Shepard that she was a Distraction. i was Drawn to say "no... of course not... what if there isn't a mission? what if i'm not endangering anything?"

i felt the pain in my shepards feelings... i felt the love... i felt everything.

it was kinda like having sex with an Asari. Beautiful. But Short.

I wish to have something with Tali (and the others of course, for those who chose Jack and Miranda)
i want Tali's Love to have an Even Stronger feeling. to the point it's nearly Canonical.

but we both know. Bioware probably doesn't support ShepxTali as a Canon. but still there are thousands of people. hell thousands of those people who pre-ordered mass effect 2. were getting it. FOR THE TALI ROMANCE.

other thousands were getting it for the Gameplay, Miranda, or Jack.

But those from ME1... we got it. for one simple reason. to undue the damage choosing Ashley/Liara had done.
(unless you were loyal to them and didn't choose to pursue new LI's)

the point is. there are alot of Tali Lovers out there. me being one of them. speaking on behalf of them all...

PLEASE GIVE US MORE LOVE INTERACTIONS IN THE UPCOMING DLC or Take Theronyll's idea.

The More Realistic. The Bigger the Experience. The Higher the Fanbase. The Heavy the Ending. Bioware. Make Mass Effect, Make Shepard's Story... Go Out. with a Bang. B)

I would love to see a softer side to my goodie goodie femshep concerning romances. The way she responded to seeing Kaidan was a bit off and annoying. After two chapters of ME I know she's a tough girl already, a hero, a badass but she's still a woman, come on, some emotional 'flaws' would be lovely. No human being can go on like she does without cracking even the slightest.

I am crossing my fingers for Kaidan and hope the relationship finally becomes just that...a relationship.

I get that the whole scene with ME1 LI's was generic in ME2 so they just had to swap Kaidan for Ash and vice versa (horrid to see Kaidan in Ash's armor at the start though) and their conversation was made to suit new players as well, but I hated it.

I hope ME3 will give some closure for those who took the same romance through the entire trilogy and not some simple reunion with a cold 'welcome back on the Normandy' and some sexy time before a big battle. Been there, done that. Put the sexy time in sooner and end with, oh I dunno, a real confirmation of love and say a proposal before the big end battle ;)

I want to see my femshep show some softer side when in the privacy of her cabin with her LI, hugs after difficult missions, talks about what's bothering Shep etc etc.

I for one would be really pissed if we didn't get the opportunity to continue ME2 romances. Please, can I get a cure for Thane? Travel to the Hanar homeworld? Please?

*considering opening the can of delicious worms discussing Hanar can bring up*

I'll be good.

I'd like to visit it anyway, along with Thessia. Scenery.

Honestly at this point with the way they carried forward ME LI's and that fact that your ME2 LI could die, I don't really expect them to do anything important with your previous LI's. Apparently BW wants our sheps to be the one night stand type of person. I said it in another post but really Liara's role should have been played by your LI or if you didn't have one in ME then it should have just been Cerberus getting your body back. the story that Liara tells you would have been a lot more emotional if it had come from your LI or she was your LI then it would have beenn more emotional to know that she ad cared that much about me. But I know that my renegade sheps who were dicks to her in ME are going to get the same speech and it makes me go WTF, I hated you and yet you still almost died for me? You're crazy lady, stop being so clingy.

I read somewhere that apparently Casey Hudson or w/e made a comment in an interview that they expect everyone to cheat, well when you make our past LI's so pointless and basically force us into new ones it's going to happen. I mean when I just want to talk with Jacob, why does my shep need to lean back and change to a voice that says I'm trying to seduce you even though I'm not....

This, so totally this. Not to mention Miranda was an awesome squad member to take on missions. Slam is amazing.

I can't wait for ME3 so there is a massive fight between Ash and Miranda. It will be epic, and more importantly hilarious. Telling Ashley to go pound sand will be great. "Sorry don't really care for Tennyson all that much, bye. Plus you basically refused to help and broke up with me on Horizon. Peace."

On a more serious note, I generally don't care for the romance things in rpgs, but I find they actually work well in this series and I care about what happens to the various characters, so kudos to bioware and let's hope they don't drop the ball in ME3.

I'm all for options. I know my Shepard will remain true to Ashley the whole time and I understand the desire to have that really mean something for the story. One thing I would NOT like is if they forced some sort of marriage or child or something at the end (which I don't see them doing). But I would like to see a kind of partnership between the love interests that's maybe a little more evolved than the other relationships of the game. Not sure what I'm really getting at as I need more caffeine.

It's tough to write for everyone's individual character and story I bet.

Hopefully the romance is expanded, and fleshed out more. I want to see a real relationship build, and not just sex.

Agree, seems to be a trend in BW games, dod what you need to do to get them in bed and then just forget about the relationship.

Tali should return as a love interest for male (and female?) Shepards in the final installment. She is a sweetheart.

"crazy ... in the perfectly healthy way", huh? :D

Well, I completely support either including all the romance interests from ME1/2 or none of them.

With the former case as preference of course.

Do you people seriously see Shepard as the type of man/woman that will settle down, have lots of children and build a house with a picket fence ?

I'm hoping they make an emotionally charged decision regarding your LI like in Dragon Age: Origins. I romanced Morrigan in my game and that final decision to make was HARD.

I didn't want her to leave, so I hope they make a hard decision like that in ME3.

Commitment doesn't have to mean quiting the job to settle down ya know. My Shep is a spacer who's mom still serves. Works for me.

I, too, am staying loyal to Kaidan <3.  Here is to hoping that what you say above, will come to pass.

No. My Shepard is going to spend the rest of her days demolishing crime syndicates with Garrus, her one true love. The only way they're having kids is if they pick up an orphan along the way. (Because, as we all know, Garrus is Space Batman.) When they start getting old, they'll 'retire' to the Citadel to work for C-Sec.
