Romance suggestion for ME3 (commitment)

Shep and Ash reunite.
Ash: "You cheated on me with WHO?"
Shep: "Tali...what...?"
Ash: "I am going to kill you. Then her. Then you again."
Shep: "If you go anywhere near Tali, I will kill you!"
Ash: "W-what?"
Shep: "Tali trusted me. She loves me. You obviously don't."
Ash: "But...you're leaving me for an alien?"
Shep: "And with a question like that, you wonder why."
Much as I would like to see catfights galore, I would also like the option to head them off.

Femsheps got royally screwed in ME2 and i am not the only one who says this. I just hope that they will allow the player to choose thier LI regardless of race or gender. I played ME2 and remained celebate because the LI for femsheps are truly the worst. My second pass i am avoiding any LI except for Kelly and that is more like a placebo than a compelling LI.

Here Here! I totally agree. Femsheps romance options are terrible. I still like Liara, though I thought she was a little cold. I liked Kelly too, but the limited dialogue and creepy stipper dance were unpleasant.
ME3 better either make Liara awesome, make Tali/Miranda/SuZe more open minded, or introduce some new(preferably female) object of her affections.

The romance options lend to the humanity of Shepard who sometimes feels more like an unstoppable force than an extraordinary human. How casual or committed your Shep was should have consequences in ME3 along with the option to try and be committed to the love interests form ME2 even if it just leads to rejection (I don't think Miranda would stay imho).
DLC of a romantic veriety would be appreciated as well but I don't want something that will be disconnected from ME3. The choices you make in the dlc should play out in ME3 since it is about interpersonal relationships and dynamic character development. It would be stupid to see Shepard and Tali (or anyone) have a wonderful romance in DLC only to have the events of the dlc never be mentioned in ME3. That would make me feel ripped off since we will most likely have to pay for any large dlc and one of the romantic variety should be large.

Pretty sure Shiela is gonna be a possible love interest in ME3.
Long as they cure her sickness and get her skin color back to its real color that would be the one person my Shep might leave Liara for.

This.
I'm tired of constantly having to ask other people how they feel. It was nice in ME2 when Kelly asks you how you feel about you encounter with Ash/Kaiden. Suddenly you became more than just Shepard: Unstoppable Human RobotTM and were aloud to display some real emotion.
I mean for gods sake, people on your team died in ME1, the one person you loved leaves you (kinda) in ME2, and you still have to save the galaxy. Think that covers everything. Oh, no, wait. You were ****ing DEAD for two years. I think Shepard has earned the right to have his crew concerned about HIM for once.
I'd like to see the ability to share those feelings with your LI or at least crew members. Maybe it could be a conversation option after getting their loyalty. It'd help get some focus on why you did what you did, blow off some steam etc.

This, omg this all the way. Absolutely hated ME2's LI's, I felt no connection with any of them and Liara was still a sweetheart once you got past her coldness. The knowledge of Kelly 'I'll sleep with anything' stripper dance was enough for me not to bother with her

Here here! The whole robot crap should be a choice on the wheel and not the default.

Seems quite possible, given her somewhat clumsy and abbreviated last line where she suddenly brings up after she's finished and after you're finished. Then there's also the sudden and surprising peck on the cheek (at least for maleshep - no idea if she also does it for femshep) from Ms. Parasini after you help her with the bust ("Better than an autograph," she tells you.). Though if Ms. Parasini suddenly becomes an option for maleshep only, then I would assume that there's going to be an equivalent for femshep as well and I've no clue who that might be.

That's one thing I liked about Thane's romance, in that he asks Shepard how she's doing and if she's well. Of course her auto-response is "DOIN' JUST FINE THANKS" but it was a nice touch anyway. I'd have liked some options there, I'm interested in what the LIs have to say and what advice they can give. Sure, Shepard's a strong military figure, but he/she is still human.
The other LIs may ask about Shep as well but I haven't exhaused all their conversations yet.

The Hero: No settling down, there is a universe that still needs protecting. You may still have your loyal crew and perhaps your love interest fighting faithfully by your side.
The Drunk: The bottle is your only friend. You sacrificed everything to stop the Reapers (friends, crew, love one, etc) but the universe is safe.
The Family Guy: The universe is safe and it is time for your reward and to settle down with your love interest. (Insert Peter Griffin jokes here)
And so on…

My guess is that ME3 won't "finish" the same way it doesn't in ME2, as this leads more options for DLC which is a hot issue with games at the moment. They could expand on your life after saving the galaxy through DLC perhaps.

Absolutely agree. Was tempted by Garrus, but forced flirtting killed it for anyone else.

Do you people seriously see Shepard as the type of man/woman that will settle down, have lots of children and build a house with a picket fence ?
No one said there had to be setteling down and kids involved, no reason shep and their LI can't go off adventuring together, finding comfort in eachothers arms every night.
Yeah no one is suggesting that I think. Although I suppose some peoples' Shepards would be happy to settle down. Depends on how you see your Shepard.
Mine is a spacer and a bit of a workaholic. And Ash is a career woman too. They work that way. I don't really see marriage or kids in their future, but I guess you never know.
Don't need to be married to make it work, Goldie Han and Kurt Russel make it work, and also being married doens't mean it will work because 50% of marriages end in divorce.

The femshep romances were terrible. I felt no attachment to any of them, and I didn't feel like anything meaningful happened at all. I just didn't care.
I just want them to bring Kaidan/Ash/Liara back in a meaningful way. There was no need to sideline them as awfully as they did, even if they had a reason. They could have made Shepard sound less like an idiot when she finally met up with him on Horizon. No wonder Kaidan lost his temper. Sheesh. I lost my temper.
Maybe the ME team should spend some time talking with David and the people from the DA:O team.
I agree with everything in this post (especially the last part)!
I would just like the *choice* to get back together with my ME1 love interest, and take the relationship further than just another wild night before a suicide mission. I don't need a definition like a proposal or marriage (I don't think that would be fair to those who aren't interested in that sort of ending), but knowing that there's someone waiting after the Reapers are completely defeated would be nice.
Right now, it was kind of sad, beating the game and knowing that my Shepard has no idea if she'll reconnect with Kaidan again. People with ME2 LIs at least get cuddling as a reward, I get to go back to my lonely captain's cabin and wait two years to find out what will happen.
Would be a an idea for some future DLC via Cerberus network. If you stayed true to your ME1 LI they send you a message sayiny they want to meet up and then you can explaine everything got out to dinner, have a good time, you know, actually get to know them more. If you have a ME2 LI then you get the dinner stuff and getting to know them part as well. Or maybe you get a message from anderson that your LI, regardless of if it's from ME or ME2, has been kidnappend by the remainder of the collectors looking for revenge or some merc group and you get to go save them.

/agreed...though ManShep should be able to do this, too, if only to your LI.
This is an RPG problem all around, though....the PC has to fix everyone's problems, he's got everyone, but who's got the PC?
