I'd really like to see someone who remained in a commited relationship to marry, or at least be going steady from the start.

Also, as far as a new LI goes, Chakwas for LI in ME3!

I'll one up this and demand an option to get married with your love interest.

I agree with you completely OP. I hope in ME3 you can maintain your relationship with your romantic partner from ME1 or ME2. It better not be a thing where you see them once or even once in a while. I want the person I had a romance with from ME1 or ME2 to be with me all throughout ME3. And of course it would be really nice if the whole romance thing had a lot more depth. And please Bioware, bring all the characters you can have romantic relationships with from ME1 and ME2, into ME3.

Femsheps got royally screwed in ME2 and i am not the only one who says this. I just hope that they will allow the player to choose thier LI regardless of race or gender. I played ME2 and remained celebate because the LI for femsheps are truly the worst. My second pass i am avoiding any LI except for Kelly and that is more like a placebo than a compelling LI.

I actually totally agree.

I romanced Kaidan in the first game, and while the romance seemed slapped together, the scene at the culmination of it--the dialogue and visuals--were awesome.

I romanced Thane this time around because of some delusional need to want a "completionist" kind of playthrough.  I'm sorry I did.  He's an all right character, but I didn't like the romance scene at all.  And Jacob romance seems more like a booty call than a "romance".

I'm seriously considering going back in my playthrough and calling off my romances just to remain celibate for Kaidan in ME3.  The most touching, heartwrenching and "emotionally engaging" scene (regarding romances) for me, was on Horizon.  Just seeing Kaidan in that leadership role, fire in the eyes, yelling at my Shepard made me honestly feel TERRIBLE.  I was so relieved when he sent the message afterwards with his true feelings in it.  Kaidan's the one for me.

Interestingly enough, I wonder what that letter looked like it Ash wrote it for maleshep?

I liked Ash's letter a lot, as it hit a lot of her characterization notes (she prays to God, quotes a poem at the end.) "I can't lose you again, skipper."

Made me feel so bad to turn her photo down later...hardest decision in the game for me. (The fate of entire races was easy by comparison.)

Lol, I was actually wondering if this was going to be an option after I got that brandy.

Dude, she was gunning to get Shep in bed! Unfortuantly she under-estimated his ability to handle his liquor! And was too embarressed to admit afterwards... Than again it's usually bad to say "Hey, I was tryin to get you drunk to sleep with ya!"

I'm seriously hoping that Shepard gets to spend more time with Liara once she deals with the Shadow Broker. And make some blue offspring. "Embrace Eternity..."

That is a matter of opinion. I couldn't be happier with the Femshep's LIs from ME2.

I certainly hope that everyone is allowed to continue pursuing whichever LI they chose, whether it be from ME1 or ME2, and that the relationship is meaningful and well written.

I certainly hope all LI options are available at ME3.

I totally created a new character for my first playthrough to romance Garrus so I could sate my curiosity and the Shepard I'll import from Mass Effect 1 will be able to stay faithful to Kaidan during the second playthrough (the default backstory Shepard apparently hadn't romanced him in ME1 and he came off as a bit of a jerk in Horizon).

The game was even more interesting that I had anticipated, since default backstory (the decisions carried over from ME1) is almost the polar opposite than the decisions I made with my imported character, so I will be getting a very different backstory in my second playthrough.

And I'll probably use both Shepards in ME3. I'm curious to see what happens with her relationship with Garrus.
