Who'd love to see more of femShep used in the marketing in ME3?

Female Shepard is they typical female grunt.
But female grunts are extremely untypical in video games or elsewhere, especially as main protagonists. When they exist, their job is usually to die in a blaze of glory and leave the stage to the male hero.

Oh, and I have played both male and female and while I am no doubt going to get flamed for this I do not particularly like the femShep's voice, it actually grates on me. It's not because it doesn't sound 'badass' as I don't want them to (manShep doesn't sound badass to me either and I like it), but just because it just doesn't sound so good, her seems inferior to me. Note that this is my own personal opinion and is in response to the 'you'll never go back to manShep' arguments, and I have already put on my flame-retardant suit. Thank you.
End of line.

Hale's performance didn't capture my attention the way she usually does. Perhaps if she had used her British accent she does so well.

I prefer Maleshep's default appearance over Femshep's, hands down. Plus, it's awkward for me to roleplay a female, being a male and all.
Besides, if they showed Femshep, everyone would freak out 'cause they took away the main character and the whole thing would be blown out of proportion. Consistency is better.

To be honest, having any Shepard in the marketing is a bad thing for me.
Other games like Fallout 3 and Dragon Age have managed to not have the main character in the marketing and they managed ok.
Having a fixed face can trick people into thinking that it is the only one available. Take ME1 for example, as soon as you go to create a character the first things you see are John Shepard, custom appearance and import previous ID, it's only when you click on custom appearance that you even find out that you can make a FemShep.
No game in my opinion, no matter which genre it is, that has a custom character generator, should use the main character in it's advertising.
Pretty much this.
Doesn't help that some insist that she doesn't exist or isn't canon.
What these guys said. A faceless hero or at least one androgenous enough to pass as either would've been better surely.
Oh and by androgenous I mean it in terms of you never really see the character's face but the back of them could pass off as any gender...if that makes sense

Still I'm sick of the whole M!Shep is CANON.
There is no Canon regarding commander Shepard other than the facts that they saved the galaxy and was the first human spectre. Gender, sexuality, lovers, looks all that is up to the player.
People who constantly feel the need to be vindicated by having what the see as their Shep being the "canon" shep is ridiculous to me.

but er back to ME3, I wouldnt want to see it. They should keep doing what they were, even if I dont like the protagonist, it would be weird to change it now.

I personally have never liked female characters in these type of situations. I like them in games like Resident Evil or Final Fantasy, but I just cant get myself to play one in a BA shooter save-the-worl..err galaxy type role. But I also .
Yes its hard for cave men to wrap there heads around the fact we can do what ever a man can

No, it's just hard to wrap our head around why you can't do so without sounding like you abducted an NFL team and leached out all their testosterone for your own use.sunovafm wrote...

I was very disappointed that they did not even bother to include a high-quality rendered default female version for ME2 (Why did they not just use Jen Hale's face at least?). When I stood my female Shepard next to Miranda and Jacob, in comparison for the first time, she just looked... bad.
I wont hold my breath, though, since it was asked before on the ME1 forums. Still, it would be nice to be pleasantly surprised for ME3 with a good femShep face...

My femshep face looks nicer than the other NPC females. Definitely doesn't feel any less a woman than any companions. Just go download a face code from the face code site. Her "glory aura" is greater than her companions.
Anyways, let EA choose their marketing scheme. Whatever makes the game sells. As long as they don't skimp on actual femshep play, I'm happy.
Like I said, EA dumps too much money on marketing in proportion to game development. I'd much rather see large scale DLC's/expansions than femshemp having advertising time.

Considering that I don't consider the default manShep to be Shepard I could care less to be honest. It's my character, what they use for marketing shouldn't really be a concern for people as long as they have their own character.

Yes, this. The Male Shep they show in the trailers and promotions may not be canon, but he's about as close as you can get. Showing off anyone different (male or female) would just confuse the matter and lead to a weaker image.
That's not to say I don't like FemShep, I haven't played ManShep for some time, but his line delivery from what I've seen seems a little dull and boring. FemShep on the other hand has a lot of heart and her voice works well with the way her character is animated.
