Who'd love to see more of femShep used in the marketing in ME3?

Why do you people feel this is so necessary?

Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things, fem shep IS STILL THERE. Stop making these threads, Bioware is never gonna give femshep the same advertising because it DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. You're already gonna buy the game, why does an advertisement need to be catered to your desires? Seriously stop.

EDIT: Just realized someone necro'd this thread. Netherless, my point still stands.

Teaser/Trailer on ME3. To be fair, both Shepards. Soldier MaleShep and Adept FemShep.

Belittling others interest is immature. . . . please don't stop a MaleShep vs FemShep flame war.

MaleHawke wins. Just joking . . .

And THREAD NECROMANCY I SEE???

no it's says 80% of shepards played as maleshep. not at some point, not that 60% also played as femshep, 8/10 played as maleshep, and given gaming demographics and the target market of mass effect games, that's not surprising at all.

I believe his point was that many fans probably played through ME2 more than once or started over more than once and thus might have created more than one Shephard.

...so someone who mostly played with a MaleShep might have played with a FemShep as well at some point, making it possible that the percantage of ME players who played a FemShep is actually higher than 20%.

I agree with you in general. However for people who do not know the game at all and who just pick up the box in a store (and there are many many people who just buy a game by browsing through stores and who never ever read game mags or visit gaming websites or anything like that) it might make a difference if they know they can play both sexes. It is not mentioned anywhere on the box. I'm quite sure there are customers for whom that information might make a difference.

your entire post is full of your crap opinion and no facts.

When did I ever say that what I was typing wasn't just my opinion?  If you noticed the wording I used, what I typed were my opinions, therefore what does this have to do with anything.

And also, what makes your opinions any better or more acurate than mine?

...even dragon age sold it's hero, and generally used the male protagonist - dragon age 2 certainly has had that awesome trailer already with male hawke...

Again, what does that have to do with the fact that I was giving my own opinion, my opinion is that games like this shouldn't use a default character on the box cover.

I never said that you couldn't make awesome advertising using them, what I meant was that they should not be used exclusively.  If you use the same default over and over again, then it can give people the impression that that's the only choice you have.

...and 'disrespectful'?! wtf - hale is doing a job, like and other VA, that is all (and she's bloody awful as shepard, despite have done great work in other games).

So, let me get this straight, if you and a random stranger were paid to do the exact same job over the exact same time period, and then after working your arse off, it was the other person that got all the pats on the back, the recognition and the praise for it - while you got nothing - you'd be more than happy to just slink off and never think of it again.

That's Bollocks and you know it!

You'd hate their guts, it's human nature.

So after having a pop at me for stating my opinion, you then go and state your own as if it's a fact.

Wow what a hypocrite.

Yeah it's annoying when people do that, huh?

Hale would have known the terms and agreed to them before she signed the contract, so i highly doubt she's filled with your own (and a few others') righteous indignation.
