2 aapheus: you wrote: "The operative words there are "[you] do not understand such this thing [sic]." Learn the combat tactics. You add ranks to your ability and you get more options. Savvy?"
You do not understand me (its because my english is horrible, sorry) I mean the queue of actions, for example, you will pause the game, then select your mage, and do queue : go here, (1st command), cast fireball to here (2nd command), heal "xxx" (3rd command), unpause, and the char will do queue
Bioware has said that the short queue is due to how quickly the battle tactics can change. Not sure if I agree with that or not, but it does make some battles quite interesting.

What would you do to make it better?
I would add:
1) coop
2) queuing system
3) option to rearange ui
4) more free environtment in game (larger areas to explore)
5) more classes, special classes
and other many things they are missing but iritating (for example when buying in shop you cannot see what do you have on you)

Dont feed the TROLLS! the OP is a Huge Troll. This game is too smart for WoW / Aion Raid / PvP fanbois. Good going on DA Bioware, there was a much needed return to Old School rpg. WE have been going down the WoW yellow brick road with simple simon rpg gameplay for so long and 1337 script bunnyhop FOTM loser gaming that it became a blackhole and everyone was on the bandwagon with F2P leading the way with no content, thought, immersion, tactics or stragety. All the mmorpgs and rpgs became Phatl000tz, raid and Counterstrike 1sh0tz QQ Nerf wars.
Man I am so glad to be outta that crap, sanity is back!

Hey now! I resemble that remark! I am an avid WOW player and I think I actually can understand this game too! I could start in with the "I was playing RPG"S before you were even a twinkle in your mama's eye" comments..but I won't. My kids play my old Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale games and I agree, this game seems to be a return to the old RPG style that I love from bioware. My son is a Neverwinter Nights FREAK so I think he'll like this one. I hope nobody hates on Oblivion though, it's a great RPG also.

I would argue the opposite. Being a party-based game like DA, it would be GREAT for 2-to-4 person networked multiplayer. Get a few real friends together (as opposed to LFG would-be heroes you meet somewhere random), and run through a campaign together. Add in VoIP and make it so a person's speech emanates from their character (eg. gets quieter in the distance, and talking loud alerts monsters while whispering doesn't), and it could be quite fun. Could even add in a fifth player to do DM-type stuff (control difficulty, monster spawns, etc).NWN...are you kidding me? NWN doesn't hold a candle to DA.
Multiplayer? Doesn't make sense with a party based game like DA. NWN isn't party based.
I can understand why BioWare didn't do it, though. Maybe a future patch or DA2.

Then they should make them optionable, and I would be grateful
I am using tactics now, but I still have to play with character I selected. In queue mode, you can watch the battle, and if needed, pause it, rearange queue, and unpause again

If you treat Dragon Age as a hack-and-slash, you'll lose.

The games been out TWO days, so how could anyone possibly have played enough to really know it. They are deleting troll posts. If you don't like the game; if it's just average too you, then what in the world are you doing on the forums? Do you think BioWare has a time machine, and is going to use it to go back in time and remake the game, and then come back and hand you your own special QQ version of the game? Nope.
I do not understand, I am not creating troll posts, I am writing what I do not like in the game, and what I am doing on the forums ? It belogns to DA game right ? So I am writing my opinion, or only the a+ opinions are welcomed ?
Bioware do not have time machine, but they can patch the game. Of course not just for me, but for the making their product better.

I think we just have some good game starvation going on. An ounce of good now equals superb...people are starved for quality and quantity but there are very few games today that suffice. Comparatively to old school rpg's it's definitely just average. Compared to games that have come out since "next gen" graphics.. it's very good. It's nice to see that at least some game makers are still trying to make good games... unfortunately they have to deal with distributors, owners, stock holders and producers that only care about money. I'm betting this game would have been a much better game if EA hadn't purchased Bioware.
I can only agree with you! You took it right from my mouth! <3

If you want Oblivion's level of booring repetitive yet massive exploration go ahead. Me? I never was much into running in miles of woods collecting wolf teeth and what not. It's booring. Give me enough meaningful space to run around and I'm happier than a pig in ****. Get to the point, I don't care whats behind every tree and I don't want to kill everybody. Thats not what heroes do, and If you don't want to be a hero don't play an RPG.
I agree with this completely.

artmonster1967, please dont flame here, make your comment constructive, or just tell me why I am wrong. Like Chamuck Deluxe did.
2 Chamucks Deluxe: Each RPG has dragonsso its no + :-)
You probably dont understand me, I am writing this because I think the Bioware SHOULD KNOW opinions of the users, even the BADs, do you think they will create great games if everyone is saying this is superb, it has some bugs, but I can live with that. That is not a progressive way !
Think about DA as rpg - the game is pushing you directly to the end. No chance for your own options / opinions and so on, that is not RPGish.
Actual bugs yes but people are reporting on 'faults' that have been known to the community for a long time now. Most people here do not recognize those 'faults' and like the game because they have read the wealth of information previous to buying and knew what they were getting.

I believe you are wrong, because I have finished the game yesterday, and I am now playing a second character.
It feels almost like a new game, it really does offer you a lot of choices....

It just takes a little switch of imagination... instead of imagining the world like we did for older games.. now you have to imagine the roll playing element a little more. I'm throroughly enjoying the story and characters and I've carved out a good personality through dialogue of my character.. I think if you give it some time also you'll be able to enjoy it.. the biggest help or advise that I can give is just try not to compare it to other games.. It's like watching a remake of a movie you really liked as a kid.. you just have to look at it as a completely different entity.

I have the same opinion, on 360 the game is a shame. the graphics are bad because the xbox hardware was not respected and the game is a just a port from pc. game that are 3 or 4 years old are better looking. the combat is ankward, you keep dieing a lot because of the lack of strategy due to the lack of isometric view. that's the main reason the difficulty has been dumbed down on the console, btw. I was waiting for this game for so long, that's depressing....
Consider this: Xbox360 version in USA=60$
Xbox360 version in Europe = 97$
Missing content, lousy implementation. How do they justify this? Is this a way to combat piracy? Yes, but in the opposite way...

The most closest to DA is Drakensang, then you should try Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 7, then you will see what ROLE PLAYING GAME is.
