Personally, I think ME2 is a very, VERY waesome game, however I also understand some concerns a lot of people are having. This wonderful idea actually came from a friend, but he refuses to write it himself so he told me to do it myself ( such a stubborn guy lol ). Anyway, here it is, it's not flawless, but it's darn sure close to it Posted Image

True, while I loved ME2 rpg elements were indeed lacking. ME2 was missing that felling of excitement when you wonder around and accidently stumble across a nice piece of armor, or weapon, then you learn there are a lot more to find if you take the time, making you not only excited for the story, but also thrilled to go out searching every crack for new equipment.....and it even better when the looks are different.

However, the combat was thrilling in my opinion!!! Although I understand TOTALLY where some are coming from. Not everyone has the reflexes to play a shooter heavy game, and some physically just can't do it. I know, I'm one of those people who sucks at shooters lol, but I did manage to beat ME2, not only once but three times, and I'm doing a fourth run right now Posted Image Anyway, I think the main problem for a lot of people with the combat is the ammo. My friend dominated ME2, he's not a hardcore shooter fan, he only has like four shooters lol, but the darn guy has freakin awesome reflexes.....me on the other hand......I was preeeeety bad lol. Anyway, if there was a way to add more ammo for those who needed it that would also help. Kinda like how some games add more health if you play on easy, but not everyone will want to play on easy. So say you play on normal, and then there is two options that comes up on saying "standard ammo: for those comfortable with shooter controls" and another which says "ammo abundance: for those who need a bit more help with shooters" that way, that way, everyone can have the option to play the game fitting their play style, without being forced to play on easy if that's not their preference.

There could have been more customization as well. ME1 had around 15 to 20 different looking armor sets ( someone set me straight if I'm wrong ) then each brand of armor had different levels ( ex. Mantis l, Mantis lV, Mantis X etc. ), they even had different sizes ( light, medium, heavy ). If ME2 took just tweny armor suits, detailed them like the ones in the game, then broke them up into different parts, that would have add a HUGE plus to customization, because you coulld mix and match them, color them, make them shine or not etc, and it would have still been easier (.....I think ) than making the armor in ME1. How? Well in ME1 there are like I said 15 to 20 sets of armor, maybe even more. Let just go with 15 sets. Okay, you have 15 sets of armor.....but that's only for light armor. Now, every piece of armor didn't have sizes in all three, but Tali, Wrex, and Garrus' armor more than makes up for that. So in all, there is more than 50 sets of armor in ME1 if you count Tail, Wrex, and Garrus' armor. Since Shep is the only one wearing armor in ME2 I thought for sure there would be TONS of armor parts since Shep woulds be the only one wearing them, and the team said the customization system was a lot better, and had more options than ME1......but in truth, we only got three sets of armor, and the ability to colorize them, which is awesome, but compared to the 50+ armors in ME1, it just really bland and unfinished.

So, if you combine all of the above together, I think we would have a game for everyone. There some other things my friend said, but I'm gonna try and force him to post it himself lol The last few things he said were REALLY good ideas, heres hoping he post it Posted Image

I think you made it too long. Perhaps if you summarised?

Mass Effect had 3 different sets of armor with different skins. The level of customization in ME2 makes the amount of armor available more abundant than in the first game.

Mass Effect 1 was also an action RPG. Most hardcore RPG fans didn't like it in the first game, now the standard RPG elements are much less present. I think that's the biggest problem. Not the lack of customization, or the fact that there's no unlimited ammo. Mass Effect 2 is not an action RPG, it's a TPS with RPG elements. Not saying I don't like it, ME2 is one of the best games I've played -- but it's not perfect. Some people wanted an RPG; they didn't get it.

My two cents.

The option for increased ammo actually sounds like a pretty good idea for those that have less than stellar aim.

Pretty sure weapons have a research option that increases ammo capacity.  I know I got it for my shotgun.

No game will get 100% consensus from its audience. You can go back to message boards and find a ton of people who complained about ME1 and hated it. Some people hate DA:O and some people don't. You just can't please everyone.

Sure but when you really need that ammo is early in the game when you have many powers to back up your bad aim I think you need a almost fully upgraded weapon to get that one.

There is armor that increases ammo capacity as well but I still think this is an option worth explore for the people who tend to run out more.

seems like a cool idea. Although I'm not sure why anyone would go for the standard ammo option unless you would get an achievement for it or something.

I dont like flaunting, but a majority(according to the forum) werent dissapointed. Just a very vocal group of people who need to complain. That biengs said, there is quite a bit of valid criticism that bioware should take into account.
