Thane is a great character overall.  I've seen some pretty heavy support for him!  So male or female alike, let's show Bioware Devs we want Thane to continue to be an integral part of the Mass Effect Story - healthily!



*Edit*  If you want to support Thane, please post.  I'm already reading some posters accepting the 'typical' sickness outcome.  There's some forshadowing in the game he may be cured.  Thane is one of the poster characters, not to mention all the time the Devs have invested in his character.  So why would they let him die?

C'mon folks, let's give the devs a little push towards a possible cure for Thane Krios!

Even though I didn't pursue Thane as an LI, I'm still quite fond of him.

None of the other characters have terminal circumstances (well.. aside from the dangerous missions we go on ), so why must we leave Thane to his fate?

And I agree, Thane is the only LI who's death is potentially out of our control. He is an amazing character with a great story and I can't imagine the time between ME2 and ME3 is so long that he would croak (hurhur). And, I can't imagine that he'd be anywhere but fighting at Shep's side for their cause in ME3, male or female Shep.

Keep Thane alive and have him return as a squadmate in ME3!

/signed. Come on people, Thane is one of the few LI's set up for further development. There's so much to do/say (cure his illness). If there can be like a million Tali threads then there needs to be one for Thane, b/c I'd be very sad if he died

Co-Sign. Thane is a badass, and he doesn't even try to be. That's what makes him badass, and he definitely deserves to live if your femshep romanced him. A cure for his disease would be a good sub-plot point for ME3.

Finding a cure seems pretty hackneyed. His terminal illness and its effect on him is apart of his appeal.

Or if he dies and your character is emotionally attached to him (like a friend or LI) perhaps make his death a worthwhile one. Characters do die, but an option for finding a cure would suffice. But to have his death make an emotional impact on your character's journey, I believe, would do well enough as well. But like I said, options.

Absolutely. He is the perfect LI/bromance for many fans. There are so many subplot possibilities with him! I'll be depressed if there is no cure found, no option.. We can save the universe but not Thane?

Why would he be the only LI that dies beyond our control. That's not fair for us who finds him to be the only likeable LI out there. And Thane was even created to be an alien LI for females... for those who wants it anyway

I like Thane, but I think an ending scene with FemmyShep shedding a tear and a flower over his grave at the end of ME3 would appeal to all the tragic romanticists out there.
