Like I mentioned in my other post above, it's very basic and formal. Thane just basically repeats what the codex says, but in his own words. Two conversations and you get his loyalty mission, after which you have one more conversation with him, and WEEE! That's it. You're done with him altogether.

I didn't really start to appreciate how awesome Thane was until I imported my Jane. And now I'm back to John... it's such a downer. lol

Hmm, well I liked the conversations with Thane as my Male Shepard. I felt like these were two men, two mature and disciplined men talking. And I really felt the development of their friendship.

It's probably different for me because I'm a guy, but I didn't find it to be bland at all. Just... well, not romance-y.

Just had a really weird thought; what if the person Irikah had stopped Thane from killing was the Shadow Broker?



A weird, utterly random though. And I forget if Thane mentioned the specifics about that job, so he might have said it was someone entirely different.

An excellent point. But Redemption did seem to imply that it was a single person.

And I don't think he would necessarily refrain from walking around in the streets. No one knows who he is, right?

And was it at all referenced where he was when Thane targeted him? You all know he can get into some seriously hard-to-get-to places.

I'm a guy, too. And I enjoyed talking with Thane as a male Shepard... until I imported my female and saw the difference.

It's still nice talking to him as a male, but definitely not as interesting as the female Shepard dialog.

I don't think it was the Shadow Broker. When Shepard asks him if he took the shot he says he didn't take it that day. That leads me to believe he just took out the target another day. I could be wrong though.

Just had this image of Liara having the Shadow Broker at gunpoint, Shepard tells her to let it go, she lowers her gun, and then Thane brushes her aside and shoots the Shadow Broker himself. I don't know why I talk Garrus out of shooting Sidonis, but would cheer Thane on for shooting the Shadow Broker. I'm inconsistent like that.

I know, I always have the worst ability to set the bar too high.

Would have been the greatest surprise ever if that was the only difference you'd see in the game based on the squadmates you bring, though. Don't care if my imagination is too great, I'll still take Thane along first.

Just wanted to come by and show support. Hopefully they find a cure for his Syndrome. Even though I only play a male Shepard Thane's romance is one of the better ones.

I play a male Shepard 90% of the time as well, but that's more or less because I'm a guy. I love playing a female Shepard, though. If you haven't, I highly recommend that you do. It feels like a new game in some sense, especially with the new romance options and dialog. Plus, Jennifer Hale's voice is superior.
