Thane is my preferred ME2 love interest (male or female) because it simply feels the most mature to me. Garrus is that bro who you have to bludgeon to even plant the idea of relationship in his mind, and really, I wouldn't risk a perfectly good friendship in the name of nookie. Jacob is... well, there's a reason that demographic poll has a whopping 0% female interest in the guy -- but I don't blame Jacob for that so much as I do the way Shepard talks with him. She totally starts the bad innuendos and flirtations and drives me up the wall. The Miranda and Jack romances feel like you have to battle them before they relent for relationship. And Tali... is just my little sister.

Like I said, it's dependent on your chosen dialog options. I believe Thane says that when you go with the Renegade response during the romance-driven conversation before the last. So if you were completely Paragon with him, it's only natural that he wouldn't say that.mashavasilec wrote...

The line was cut, IIRC.
It was part of another convo, or dialog option, where Shepard got to talk about her problems. Her lines and his are till in the sound files.
