Hey guys if you had to pick out one thing about Thane you like the most what would it be?

Calmness under pressure. That seems to be the defining characteristic of all men I'm drawn to, game or real life.

He's smart. I mean, the man reads Hobbes. For fun. How cool is that?

I think he would have a wicked sense of humor. Full of witticism and charm. I also think he would have a full and deep laugh, the kind that makes you smile with you hear it. Anywho...

LOL I would love to hear him even chuckle. He looks the type that will chuckle in amusement. XD

What I love about Thane is his eyes. Those puppy eyes that can show you that he loves you and how concern he is(Heck, I always so Aww when he and Shepard hold hands and his eyes show how concerned he is of her). His eyes are the first thing that got me before I knew him in my playthroughs. I can stare at them all day.

Is that unhealthy? XDD

I view Thane as someone who has a sardonic sense of humor who never ever gives the joke up with a laugh. Like David Duchovny.

I would have to say, no. You are not alone in doing this.

I'm not sure if it counts as a chuckle, but the bemused noise Thane makes during his "That's...intriguing." line is one of my favorites.

As for humor, he makes Princess Bride references, and he's very teasing with Mouse. He has a great sense of humor, he's just more subtle about it. That and it's been a long time since he's had a reason to laugh, or someone to share it with.

It would have been cute and funny if Shepard had made him laugh. I mean a full hearty laugh.

Ah yes...that line...Heehee..I liked that too.=)

I was wondering something. Since drell have perfect memory how come they are not a more advanced species? Why didn’t they invent more advanced technologies, so they wouldn’t kill their planet? And why are they letting the hanar do the research regarding Kepral. Are they lazy or something? They can read a book and remember every word in there. Imagine what knowledge they can carry and still they are only slaves. That’s strange.

Memory /=/ Comprehension

Thane does imply that there are Drell scientists, i think. I'm not totally sure. Hanar seem very advanced, though, so it's not laziness  to let them conduct the majority of research

They destroyed their planet with over-aggressive industry; the question is moreso what morals allowed them to advance so irresponsibly without regard for their planet.

I don't think any amount of genius could save their planet, and their society as a whole was collapsing.

They aren't slaves; Slavery has a specific definition--atleast how we perceive it-- and they do not  fit that criteria.

This.

Everytime I hear his voice, I get all, bubbly inside?  Sometimes it's easy to forget which Shepard I am playing when I am in Life Support:?

He says that they didn’t developed fusion when their planet started to die (so that could solve something). But they have enough comprehension. The lack of knoledge is usually the problem for not solving things. And ok not slaves - servants then. And I was kidding about laziness.

The line was cut, IIRC.

It was part of another convo, or dialog option, where Shepard got to talk about her problems. Her lines and his are till in the sound files.

Gah!  I'm guessing it's when he asks how she's doing and the only option is to say, "I'm fine".  A lot of people think Jacob is the only one who asks.  Pfft.  My in-game reasoning is that Shep doesn't want to burden Thane with her problems, but it still annoys me.  Even more so, now that I know about the additional dialogue.

When I heard about his romance-specific line in the SM, I intentially killed him off to hear it.  Of course, I didn't know it'd been cut, so when I didn't get the line, I felt like a total d**k.

I'll have to second (or third) his subtle, wry sense of humor.  And those lips.  And thighs.
I'm not very good at this.

That and his spirituality.

I don't know how to explain it, but he's an all round fascinating person. There is something about him, something that sets him apart from every other character in the game.

I kinda like all characters who don't run around screaming 'ooooh, Shepard, you're such a legend and a hero and you're so special'. Thane is one of those.

I know how his 'siha' thing can be misleading, but i think it refers more to the actual person behind this 'savior of the Galaxy' crap. This is very refreshing

One of the big drawbacks to perfect memory I can imagine is a reduction in creativity and thinking outside the box. Anyway, we don't know where they were from an evolutionary standpoint at the time the hanar rescued them. There are so few of them now, dependent on the hanar for their survival.

No, Mash. There is only one character you really like, and that's Jacob. We all know that.

Just kidding.
