Aello! I remember you. Most of the old Thane Thread regs hang out in NSAS, so they're not here bumping the thread like they used to. :)

And the gif is awful. Awful, I say! I could never shoot Kolyat. I adore him too much. Jtav, you must have missed the Thane!Shep/Miranda screens we posted. They're there should you ever need them for anything. I feel bad that I can't ship them due to these two, though:

Although it would make for a hilarious Christmas dinner.

...Poor Kolyat. I can't stop watching that gif. FFFF. I am a terrible person. Talk about tough love, though, seeing as Thane is silent. The wound looks like it would be more cosmetic than anything (if not startling nonetheless.)

Yeah Poor Kolyat...I didn't know know that you can shoot him but I only just shoot the lamp and punch him. I don't think he needs a shot in the arm.

LOL Poor Kolyat!

I just love his his foot goes in the air! XDD

How his arm swings back wildly as he falls ungracefully into a heap, his foot flies up then lands, plop. I love it. Its just so... funny. Awefully funny in a bad, aweful way but funny nevertheless....

Poor Kolyat..

And now I find it hilarious there is just, this random lamp sitting in the middle of the room.

There's a story behind that, its called, "Who moved the lamp?"

I can't remember who starred in it but they were very good. Revitting really.

If you look hard enough, the lamp moves a little. It moves a little over to let him fall down. The lamp is possessed and a jerk.

It's kind of strange that the drell aren't more advanced/more of a power. I can only assume that the resource-poor Rakhana had a lot of effect on their development. And the loss of most of their population likely didn't help either. Salarians have eidetic memories as well, and they're acknowledged to be the technical experts of the galaxy.  Drell, with their longer lives (when not subjected to Kepral's) theoretically could surpass the salarians once they are up to speed in current galactic technology.

Learning would be so different for an entire race of people with eidetic memories. Most of our educational system is based off of rote memorization, so cutting that part out would save us *years* in our childhoods.  We could literally skip all those tedius classes and concentrate on advancing knowledge instead of learning what has happened before.

Reading itself would be so much faster, imo, because you can glance at a page for just a moment, and always be able to recall the words.

History classes would be almost irrelevant since a single recitation/course could cover the entire past of the galaxy.

The only obstacle I can think of would be the comprehension and application aspects of technological advancement. Like how we can *memorize* a math equation, but we still need to be able to figure out how to apply it in relevant, real-world situations.

Photographic memory has always fascinated me, apologies for running on!

NSAS, of course...i do skippidy skip into the group forums from time to time. You guys over there are hilarious. Hilarious i tell you! Reading the speculations and poor Kolyat stuff ( with obligatory Jacob Sheploo derps of course :) makes me die laughing on daily basis, seriously.

It was probably asked and discussed before already, forgive my ol' non-eidetic memory, but i do wonder in what way and with what story would you like to see Thane back ( if he's back of course without cameolandish stuff )? It's sad that many people think there's not much to add to his character ( makes me facepalm to read all the "he's dead", "Kolayt should stroll in", blah blah blah ideas ).

And yet he speaks up when you kill Talid XD

I don't know why but I am looking at the bed. It's like, perfectly centred in that shot. Maybe I am just choosing to ignore the flailing Kolyat in the foreground, as it breaks my heart :<

I absolutly love the character of Thane and think he should return in ME3. I think that it's sad if Kolyat dies as Thane really needed to clear the air with him. It's a shame that was never really concluded in ME2. Maybe in ME3?

Thane says that the Hanar saved the Drell a century ago. In 100 years they couldn't come up with a cure for Kepral's and some kind of preventative measure for it? That seems odd given the technology levels of so many species. I think that Mordin should come up with a cure for Thane. If he can alter the genophage, then he should be able to cure a single Drell.

I wondered that myself as well, it seems little strange that they couldn't come up with the cure...i guess the whole illness didn't just appear in last couple of decades. It would be interesting if there was some sort of catch with the whole making of the cure and the illness itself. I'd kind of like if that was the case: something like the hanar intentionaly not distributing the cure just to keep the drell under their control ( seeing as how much the drell respect the hanar for saving them )...or something like that. It could add to the story, imo, a twist so to speak...suprising twist.

There is definitely something fishy going on with the hanar.  I’m sure that there will be some kind of explanation in me3 and that Thane will be fine in me3. Otherwise there are going to be a lot of holes. I believe there’s some kind of conspiracy. And yes the hanar being evil would be a great twist since everyone underestimate them.

I was meaning Irikah, Thane and Feron.
The drell have long since left their homeworld Rakhana, but if you were refering to Kahje, it's not polluted (as far as we know). The atmosphere of Kahje can be harmful to some drell though if they suffer from Kepral's as Kahje is a humid planet.

I hope he is not just a cameo. I believe Thane would stay at Shepard's side (romanced or not). I mean lover or pal, Shepard did help him with his son and gave him a reason to live. I think Thane would stand by his or her side.

Oh yeah, people don't seem to get that Thane's loyalty mission proves that Kolyat is not like his father and can't be an assassin or killer(Just watch his reaction when Shepard kills Talid in front of him and hw he took the not-so-lethal bullet to the shoulder. Nope, this isn't what Kolyat should be doing,) People who kept saying that. *shakes head*

Bioware already cause me a trauma with Dragon Age Origins, with a lot of things like Jowan or Talem, so..I hope that they don't kill Thane now in ME3 because I will die of depression XD
