Yup, it's during the conversation that triggers his loyalty mission, though I believe you have to go with the Investigate options for the flashback to be initiated.

I thought the flashback about Kolyat showing his schoolwork to Thane was VERY CUTE!

I agree. In those moments, a tackle hug would've been in order. Hmmm? I wonder what he would do?

****

Arms wide, Shepard tackles Thane, sending them falling to the floor. Laying atop Thane, Shepad snuggles into his chest. After feeling his head for a lump, he looks around the room in a daze. Feeling Shepard against him, he looks at her.
"Shepard, we appear to be on the floor."
Wiggling atop him, Shepard wraps her arms around him as she begins to snuggle.
"Yes we are."
Lying his head against the floor he stares at the ceiling wondering what to do. Slowly he crosses his arms behind his head.
"Let me know when your done."
Shepard continues to wiggle and snuggle as the minutes pass.

Three hours later....

Looking at Shepard, Thane taps her on her shoulder.
"Shepard, may I rise?"
Raising her head from his chest, Shepard gazes into his eyes and shakes her head.
"No."

Okay! I always get the flashback where he tells where he last saw Koylat. Never the schoolwork one.

XDDD Man, Thane looks like he needs hug everytime I visit him. XD

Hmm.  Face pressed to the bare spot on his chest (assuming he's not wearing the above posted pimp suit)?  For three hours?  Mmm nothing says "I love you" like a good rash.<3

Well I was wishing to see him in red long before they released that outfit. Red is my favorite color.

I am extremely satisfied with that red outfit. Sad to say but I've never really cared for the zipper as most fan girls do. So it works out for me. The sunglasses should be removable though.

zipper indulgence!  I didn't add the stroke or bevel or any words to these, but I found zipper screenies and isolated them anyway.

Thane's recruitment mission is one of my favorite missions.  I always look forward to it in every playthrough, not just because of Thane (which is like the bonus at the end) but because the mission itself is just so cool.

I love the thought that Thane is always one step ahead of Shepard, he knows Shepard is there yet he uses it to his advantage and continues with his objective.  And that he drops down and takes out a room full of gun toting mercs with his bare hands and doesn't even break a sweat, so hot.  But the challenge between him and Shepard, just as Cindalkitty described, that he's confident enough to stand in front of Shep and Co. while their guns are pointed at him and speak calmly (politely even).  And then the *intense lizard stare*.

Honest to god, his recruitment mission is really one of the best. So mysteriously alluring...wished Shep could poke into vents,  just becasue , you never know what you can hit when poking around Posted Image
It's interesting, that as you said, he was keeping a track on her progress through the tower till that skill presentation of his. I bow to the master, truly. Confident, of course, he knows he's good... so him walking pass Shep, and the currently in my mind simply random squad members 476, in such a in a vigorous, swaggering manner is not suprising.

It's good to know i'm not the only one who probably went all : hurrdy hur hur, drooly drool drool......hormones charge !!! at that scene.
Kaidan, who....

Well, there is a reason Thane's recruitment mission was the E3 demo of the game back in 2009.

Also, I look forward to it in every playthrough just the same. ;)

Thane is awesome. Most definitely showing him some support for Mass Effect 3.

Here's hoping he can be cured so he can properly reconcile with his son.

Zippers? Bulges? LMAO

Sorry *giggling like crazy* Just what I needed for my horrible day. =D

Yes, I always look forward to Thane's recruitment because of the style, Thane, and his theme.  I love his theme:

One of my favorite themes......

Dat rash! (But it'd be so worth  it.)

Dat zipper!  Dat bulge!  (Do I make your nervous?  haha, better than the Miranda butt-shot with 'Investigate'.)

Thane's theme is one of my favorites, every time it starts with the cutscene with Shepard in the taxi with the asari I get a big cheesy grin.

Speaking of Thane's flashbacks (from a page or so back) some people say they're creeped out when he starts talking / reliving his memories.  True, the omgextremeanglecloseup and discordantmusicrighthere is a little kooky (and in my imagination it doesn't happen like that at all) but take that away and it's interesting to listen to his words, he's very poetic.

Like talking about hanar and soul names.

Or describing the dance crazy episode.

Or talking about Irikah's funeral.

I'll see Dat Bulge :

His flashbacks are suprising at first. I had no idea what's going on the fist time he recalled one of his memories. I was thinking he's having some sort of attack or something ( as stupid as that sounds, but i really did think that). In the end i've come to like his flashbacks quite a lot. Instead of being collected and in control of his emotions not fully reflecting in his speech and words, he was expressing himself a lot more freely in flasbacks, poeticly, but with a lot more emotions as well. It's not like he was trying to control himself from saying what he meant to say, or wanted to say. He just said it . A very nice touch in my opinion...

And darnit, i can't.stop.staring.at.that bulgeshow...i can't concentrate on writing something seriously now. Bad bad person whoever posted this...this tempting material, that is trying to mislead me on the dark side...

Oh look *points*.. THIGS....
Ok, i'm doomed.

His flashbacks were weird at first for me but I just love them now. They are fun to listen to. So poetic and full of emotional.

It's true.

Aaaand near the top of my "things that need to happen in ME3, but won't" list is Thane having a sexytiems with Shep flashback at a most unfortunate (but awesome) moment.

I must apologize for creating such a wonderful, beautiful distraction. Oh wait, no, I'm not sorry!

Had to conduct training this morning and I couldn't stop thinking of these pics. I ended up smiling like a loon during the entire training. People kept saying, "You're always so cheerful!" And I'm thinking the entire time, "You have no idea..."

Quick question, I was pondering at work this morning, which flashback is my favourite. I came up with the funeral scene. I then wondered, which flashbacks do the other Thane fans like so I thought I'd ask which is your favourite flashback and why?

I love you dear miss (  right? ) for creating such a distraction, despite the fact that  the post made me usless for most of the things i set to do today.
Now every time i'll go to the Krios beach on that island, the bulge will pop out in my mind.... and now i have this freaky idea that i should make a sand bulge next time i'm there. Now who's loony Posted Image

General Ashous - my fav memory is when he recalls how he meets his wife. Sunset colored eyes, the smell of spice on the spring wind.. So poetic... Makes me miss my hubby.

Aello - Miss is correct. And I have to admit these pics has taken up more space in my head than Thane does normally.
