Now every time i'll go to the Krios beach on that island, the bulge will pop out in my mind....

That's what they're supposed to do.  Image IPB

Now...you see, if you put it this way... bold letters and all... combining that with your reply....
This line just went horribly wrong.
The bulgeshow is affecting me Image IPB and apparently it shows in my lack of capability to write a normal sentance. Darn you bulgeshow.

To shift my corrupted mind from bluge to something more normal and Thane connected ( no, no bulges, i promise ) to compose a question.
How do you think, if you romanced Kaidan in original mass effect, will he accept that fact that he's no longer...number 1 on the list of  "men Shep adores" ( becasue obviously Thane holds that place now ) , considering that he also seems to be more grown up this time around, more confident..etc ?
Would he be suprised, shocked, angry, rude...

I love this topic :D

And yes, his flashbacks are scary but also AWESOME, so awesome that even Kelly Chambers tries to copy them (but fails imho).

I think Thane would be the easiest for him to accept.  Jacob has the Cerberus thing going on and Garrus is, if not a friend, someone he was friendly with and knows.  He'd be hurt and disappointed, but I think that'd be the extent of it.

That's from Jacob's romance. They modded Thane into Shepard's place and hit Jacob.

I swear, some people are so sick minded. *jking*

Ah, that makes sense.

I've only seen the caps from the final romance scene.

And what has been seen cannot be unseen.

(This post has been brought to you by the word 'seen')

You cannot stop the bulge, you can only hope to contain it.

And if fanfic is to be believed, containment is not really an option either.

The power of the bulge compels you!

Favorite Thane flashback for me is probably the dance crazy story.  He sounds so happy visualizing Kolyat and Kolyat's words are so excited then all of a sudden his voice just goes dead when he remembers the part where the incoming message came and then he sounds so ashamed ("I need to read this I say, I don't look at him").

I think Kaidan would be upset but overall, he's a pretty down-to-earth guy, sensible (most of the time).  I think he'll be put off and angry / disappointed, but I don't envision him getting up into anyone's face about it except maybe Shepard's since really what's going on between them is ambiguous in ME2.  But I don't see him starting anything with Thane / Garrus / Jacob.  Of course there could be some serious staring contests (*intense lizard stare*) over the mess table if we have Kaidan on our crew as well as our ME2 LI.

I would think Kaidan wouldn't be very happy. I think Kaidan might call Shepard a bad word then Shepard would have to hurt him and that wouldn't be very good. Epic fight scene FTW!

Kaidan's funny.  His reaction on Horizon...  At first, it was easy to think he was just being unreasonable because he was shocked and hurt, and so came forth the blinded-by-emotions verbal diarrhea.  But he also hints at, in that conversation, the fact that there were rumors that she was back and working for Cerberus (Garrus:  Reports?  You mean you already knew?).  Even though he couldn't get confirmation from Anderson, surely:

1.) He could have done some digging independent of Anderson to try to get confirmation or initiate some sort of contact with her, like he expected her to be able to do while she was freakin' unconscious.  Given the difficulty of that task, then, at least maybe
2.) He had some time to think over how this made him feel and think over her motivations, to try to figure out how and why this happened before he ran into her.  If he'd given her the benefit of the doubt, if he were more concerned about her than himself (hello, death is kind of a big deal to experience personally, Alenko) then he could have let her explain on Horizon... and he didn't.

I don't think his attitude was reactionary anymore, and reactionary is at least somewhat understandable and forgivable.  I think he's a d-bag.

So, what would a d-bag do...  Now, he admits that he thought he moved on, so assuming he still has any sort of feelings for Shepard that aren't just rarrrhaetbetrayalQQ, it would be just too convenient for him to turn her words around on her - he had two years and his heart barely moved on!  She's only had a few months!  So, clearly, she's a faithless **** for shacking up with a lizard!

"Laser dot trembles on the skull.  One finger-twitch, siha.  Just give the word."

I agree with what you said. I don't think the conversation between Kaidan and Shepard would be an easy one, especially taking Thane/Garrus into consideration.

In my mind, I would have to think that Shepard was already distancing herself from Kaidan by time the original Normancy was destroyed. Perhaps she loved him once, but it wasn't enough.

The difficult part I had with the Kaidan romance was that he was, in my opinion, unsure of his relationship with Shepard. This appeared in the conversation on Horizon. He isn't confident.

Then again, my personal preferences have to do alot with men with confidence but that's just me. Confidence and nice shoulders go a long way toward yumminess. :) Thane has both in spades... but I digress..

Yeah, Kaiden should have known better than to think Shepard was a traitor. How could she contact him? Shepard was probably still trying to remind herself that she had been dead for two years and that she had to save human colonies from the Collectors.

Even with that apology....he still seems unsure of his feelings. Maybe the apolgy was for more of his sake than hers? I hope not -__- If so, then BAD KAIDEN!!

Well, looking at Jacob's reaction if you dmup him for Thane and Garrus. Kaiden's might be giving evil stares.

I was so surprised that Jacon turns down right mean toward Garrus and the whole, women always go for the big brown eyes thing was just, please!

I have to be thankful that Jacob was never interesting to me in the slightest so my Shep never got close or even friendly with Jacob.

I still think Kaidan should have known better on Horizon. To call Shepard a traitor? I might have forgiven him the whole, sorry but I am doubtful its you but the whole your a traitor to everything blah blah blah, I really wanted the ability to hurt him.

When it comes to Kaidan I at least hope we get to say something to him this time.  Horizon was like ...

"Shepard!"
"Kaidan!"
*hug*"
You died!"
"Yes, but-"
"You're working for Cerberus!"
"Yes, but-"
"Traitor!"
"Now wait a min-"
"Why didn't you call me?"
"I was dea-"
"I loved you!"
"Hold on just a-"
"Goodbye!"
*Kaidan walks away*

Don't get me wrong, I think Kaidan is mostly justified in acting the way he does, I mean, Shepard is a zombie working for the other side.  But I also agree with Cindalkitty, at some point he could have done some digging on his own.  He might not have turned up anything significant, but with how conveniently he gets sent to Horizon because the Alliance suspects Cerberus is behind the abductions and oh by the way, Shepard's really alive and working for them ...

If I got anything from Kaidan in ME1 it's that he's a cautious guy, he wants to know the variables before he works out the equation. I don't expect blind obedience from him, but I do expect a little skepticism about the whole thing in general (he certainly tosses a bunch of it at Shepard).  Enough to say, "Okay, maybe you're a zombie and maybe Cerberus isn't behind these attacks and maybe I need to look further into this but if you tell me your version of the story that might help me piece together my own."

His email says that pretty much (yet we never get the opportunity to do so), but it also says, "I've moved on with my life, but I loved you, but I finally got over you, but I'm worried you'll die again, but you need to move on with your life, but maybe if you change your mind I'll be here, but I might not."

dotdotdot

If Kaidan is on tap to be a squadmate for ME3 (which I suspect he is) then I think it's high time for Shepard to get a word in edgewise, whether it's "You suck Kaidan and Thane is awesome - and we totally did it on your console yesterday." or "Two years made us into different people, we both moved on, we both deserve to find what happiness we can while we can - and Thane and I totally did it on your console yesterday."

Wow, I've rambled alot this morning.  I'll add that I don't mean for this to be a 'Down With Kaidan' post, just putting my thoughts out there.

I like Kaiden and his reaction is understandable but he never gave Shepard a chance to explain fully like you said.

And...XDDDD at the "...and Thane and I totally did it on your console yesterday."

Well, this is my first time in this thread and most likely my last, judging from the past two pages. You guys have fun continuing to bash Kaidan. I'll take my Thane discussions elsewhere. :?
