For me, great shoulders, who reads and can cry when hurting. The thighs and... ahem... bulge help too...

Soooooooort of. Thane is different from Kaidan is different from Garrus is different from poor Jacob. They all have their own romance fanbases for a reason. This thread has taught you what Thane-lovers love about Thane. If Jacob had cried at any point, I would probably have looked for a renegade option to punch him. Thane made it work for me, though.
It has taught me that we are our own breed of crazy. And we have a sense of humor. And odd fixations with zippers. And stares.
...And crotch.

I constantly forget about the age difference, though I have wondered at one point how drell change as they age. Like... does their frill sag? Get wrinkly? Do their scales lose their luster?
Human character models, you can tell. Asari, you can kind of tell and their lifestages have been mentioned here and there (something about natural skin color and scalp dying). But there's not really any character model difference between Thane and Kolyat that I'd attribute to age.
Age, to me, always seemed like more of a physical appearance issue, and then a mental/emotional maturity issue.
Thane, however, is in top physical condition. And his brain is sexy. So even if he's got about 8 years on Shepard, I'm totally okay with this.
Totally.
okay.
with this.
