I've kept myself away from this thread for far too long.  For shame!  Where else can I get such a concentrated dose of Thane on a daily basis?

Anyway, I come bearing fanart.  Finished it today.... <3

Thank you My favourite romances have been Garrus and Thane, interesting that both are alien snipers...I don't know if that says I'm into reptile men or bad boys that can pull off impressive head shots  Probably both. I just read an article about how Thane was created, it includes his concept art and shows you how the artists gradually changed his design over time;

One of things that made me smile was the feedback they were getting from the women in the office. I'm very glad they listened to them , it makes me a bit confused why they didn't use this same type of feedback for the romance dialogue , maybe the Jacob romance wouldn't have suffered so badly  It was a great read and would love it if they did a similar thing like this to show how they made all the other characters.

I'm so glad that they didn't go with JudeLawThane.  I would have had to punch it out of principle.  HeadBondageThane would also not have been very forgivable.

I'm  doing the same thing, I was never particularly interested in Thane b4 the game, during the game I still didnt find him that interesting I was like yeah I get it hes the cool guy whos deeper than you thought! =/ But then he had such a sweetness. When he mentioned Siha I was like AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW too bad I'm staying faithful because I wanna see where this leads. I agree it was nice that he pretty much pursued shepard. And you know suprisingly i didnt feel like he came across cheesy as  I initally thought he would. I finally gave in recently and watch the final romance scene before I could play it, and out of the males its probably the best, I would say it is but I really dont like shepard's final line to him but watever, that and Garrus is gonna be my favourite just because its Garrus lol.

But when it comes to his cure, you know as interesting as Thane is, I'm thinking maybe he should die from his illness if the game is set like a good while after the 2nd, he said he had like 8months and we went into the relationship knowing this so...duno I'm actually more on the fence, so right now I wouldnt be dissapointed with either outcome

Hello!

Originally, I thought maybe he should succumb to his illness just to keep them from ruining him, but I've since changed my mind.  I've decided I'd be more pissed off not getting to know more about him than I would be if they possibly cheesed his character by researching a cure.  And after looking at things like chemo and gene therapy that already exist in real life modern day science, SURELY in the future, with an entire galaxy full of different scientists and advanced technologies, it's not a huge leap to think a treatment could be put into effect before DOOM.

And hope springs eternal.  He was resigned to death before meeting Shepard, and carrying around a ton of guilt.  After, even excluding the romance, he's says he's got things to live for.  He said he should be fine for 8-12 months, not that he'd just drop over dead on the last day, and that it'd be safe to say that by the time his body's incapacitated, they'd either be victorious or dead, and either way he wouldn't be a burden.

Like someone else said, given the story of his life thus far, he could use some good news for once.

I  that video since it not only has a cute Thane, it also has a cute Mordin too. If Mordin found a cure for Thane...his already awesome status would go through the roof of the universe.

I just noticed that Thane's romance has spoiled me for anyone else's-- damn picking the best first! Garrus just seems so shallow by comparison-- what is it, three conversations tops? Even after ME1, I still don't feel like I know him well enough. It's not fair for my second Shep! Hell, I know Thane better on this playthrough than Garrus, even though he's friend-zoned...

Heck, I was about to go for Garrus too but then I realized my Shep sees Garrus as a little bro and best buddy. Now, Thane...she saw as someone she can relate to in a different way.  She may be a soldier but she couldn't help but feel attached to him. Even though, she is scarred from Kaiden's death on Virmire(Yes my Shepard loved Kaiden but she went with Ashley to the bomb  ). She felt it heal alittle with Thane.
