I don't think he would hate you, so much as he would raise an eyebrow that would somehow end up making you feel far worse than his hate ever would. >>;

As much as I like Thane I think it would really ruin his character if they cured him. Maybe have Mordin come up with something to comfortably prolong his life a few more months, then in ME3 have him at some point (preferably near the end) give his life to save Shepard. Thane was designed to be a tragic character and he should remain as such.

Having a cure wouldn't make him any less tragic, I believe. Besides, we don't necessarily want a cure forced down peoples' throats so much as we want the option to have a cure. It all comes down to choice; perhaps some sort of necessarily tragic choice between choosing to cure Thane and something else. (:

What I was saying is that having the choice to save Thane or not is really the option to be evil or not, which I don't think is a satisfactory response to this issue. It is possible that having to make a difficult moral choice to save Thane would work well, but I'm not sure what form that choice would take.
