Yes, KEEP THANE ALIVE in ME3. However it must be introduced as an engaging and lengthy side mission where we hear about an ancient cure and have to pass through dangerous obstacles to reach an a nearly lost civilization linked to Thanes ancestors that even he himself thought to be only myth. After some accidental discovery by baterian pirates we respond to their distress call. Sheppard decides to risk it and enters the lost cavern. Here we encounter gigantic organic reptilian goliaths unlike anything we've seen yet. We need to extract some kind of gland tissue from inside the monster while keeping all alien life unharmed, then we need to get to thanes home world and find those that may be able to translate our find into a viable cure based on their ancient texts and knowledge or get Cererus to help introduce a cure... after much game play we hear of the progress from someone?!? and just in the nic-o-time thane and other drell are able to join our epic battle at defeating the reaper invasion... or something like that...

I was thinking about this after reading another thread.  In ME3, there should be an option for Shepard to rejoin the Alliance (paragon), stick with Cerberus (renegade), or sever both ties and go it "alone" as a Spectre (neutral).

The thing is, from a RPing point of view, I can't think of one decent reason why any of my Shepards (my Renegade is a Sole Survivor) would choose Cerberus...

...that is, unless ol' TIMmeh started dangling a cure in front of her face.  Image IPB

Why can Mordin just find a cure?, I mean the guy is an expert in genetic science O_o, so I think that maybe he can do something, or maybe Bioware just give us a DCL, when we make a trip to Kajhe to help hanars or something and find the cure , or maybe they have plan make the ME3 historie some years in the future so Thane is already cure because he ....HAVE TO LIVE..I don't know just thinking in low here...XDDD

I would think Mordin would mettle in his condition, if he even knows about it. I mean look at his little playing around with Joker's condition. Then again, since Thane declined the help Shepard offered, perhaps Mordin doesn't know of Thane's condition.

but But BUT

If you talk to Mordin and choose the "investigate" option, you can ask how the crew's general health is, and he'll answer (of course it's a generic answer, but still!).  And if he knows my Shepard is rubbing up on some lizard man, surely he also knows the lizard man is dying.  Surely Chakwas is aware of all pre-existing health conditions of everyone on the ship so she can better treat them if they're injured or sick, and if she knows, surely Mordin knows, because you can ask him how the crew's health is.

S U R E L Y

And I also wonder if Thane would still be all closed off about his treatment if Shepard brought it up later, after they became buds and Thane's speaking to his son again.  In the beginning, I think he's a little too accepting of what's to come, and he doesn't want to be a burden and says it's being looked into... all to probably get Shepard to leave him alone about it.  I mean, GAWD.  Meddlesome!

But that all changes by the end, and he gets a lil shaken up.  Shaken up enough to make a booty call, at least.

And I'm just babbling now.  The LotSB trailer has me all... giddy.  Or it's caffeine.  Either way...

For those of you who don't really go to the main site, Bioware has put up a LotSB trailer: http://masseffect.bioware.com/

Edit: I suppose this is spolier-y... so don't watch if you don't want to see such things.

OMG, I seriously could not be more excited for Tuesday!!!  I know I am not the only one excited about the certain person who has been revealed there. :D

I can't believe that Feron will finally be show in game. I recognise the voice actor at the beginning (possibly the Shadow Broker himself) but I can't think who he's played before. Anyone know or even recognise him?
